2016 Charitable Events

A thread where all charitable events Michael is involved in 2016 can be reported.   They can range from MBC involvement to golf competitions to his other charitable work he will no doubt do throughout the year.  

Firstly to be reported is wonderful news concerning the Michael Bolton Charities and their new projects they have announced.  Here is link which gives insight to two Music Therapy programmes they are starting with one being at the Clifford Beers Clinic which is the charity dear to the heart of Michael's late beloved mother, Helen with other being at BH Care-Umbrella Centre for Domestic Violence with both being located in New Haven, CT.

They are also launching a programme to start a Family Justice Centre in New Haven.

Another lovely pic and lovely tweet from Trueheart Management showing Michael on stage singing WAMLAW and Maksim dancing with a woman who I presume may just have been the one who donated the $50,000 for the pleasure.  Did see a very short video of this and Michael sounded wonderful as usual even for just 20 seconds !!! lol

Have picked up this article on Michael singing WAMLAW at the Childhelp Dream Gala and it was a silent auction that was held for him to serenade whoever won and Maksim decided to add a little flourish to it by dancing with the lady.....wonderful for her and what a wonderful generous donation and believe she deserves a huge round of applause.

Further article on the auction to be serenaded by Michael and this one gives more pictures from the event and have picked it up on Twitter as it has been sent to Michael (mbsings) by the REAL Michael Bolton for publishers sent it to him using his handle .... think Michael will get a laugh at that and wonder if he will acknowledge as he has done others Michael Bolton has sent to him.

A beautiful picture which Kelly Levesque has shared on FB of herself and Michael on stage at the Childhelp Dream Gala.  Did not appreciate she was there until now and certainly thankful she has shared the pic.

Michael will be the guest entertainer at the Annual Gala being held by the American Cancer Society at Mar-a-lago Club, Palm Beach, Florida on 5th February.  Here is article which mentions his appearance and picture of poster advertising the event which I found on Twitter.  Tickets are on sale but you have to contact the Society for information and telephone number is given on poster.

Article on Childhelp Dream Gala at which Michael was guest entertainer and wonderful news that, whilst Michael's serenade saw a donation of $50,000, overall the event raised $1 million for the Charity.

Michael has posted pic to his Instagram/Twitter account with comment on last night's American Cancer Society's Gala held in Palm Beach, Florida and at which he was guest entertainter.  Here is his comment:

"Honored to be supporting @americancancersociety at ‪#‎palmbeach‬ gala‪#‎curecancer‬ with proceeds supporting @mbcharities"

Picture is of a place setting at the table and why he has taken this pic is because it is rather unique.  Not 100% sure if what has been photographed is a place mat or part of a dinner service (pretty sure it is place mat) but it is round and replicates a vynl record with centre containing wording that was in American Cancer Society's poster for event, i.e. "Rock Palm Beach : American Cancer Society Annual Gala : The Mar-a-Logo Club : Friday, February 5th, 2016 : Musical Guest : Michael Bolton. Below that is the logo sign for the Society.  You can also see part of the beautiful silver cutlery service which is all laid out on a white tablecloth.

Super article about the funding Michael Bolton Charities is giving to the New Horizons School in New Haven, CT for their Music Therapy Program this year.
