Should add that MBC have announced the date and venue for the Annual Fundraiser for the Charity in 2018 and it is at the Hamptons, once again, and will be on Saturday, 18th August, 2018 at 6.00 pm......believe new thread for Charity work in 2018 needed already !!!! lol.

Michael and MBC have posted video of Michael asking for donations to his "Music Therapy Program" which he started in New Haven, Connecticut on this "Giving Tuesday" and here is embedded code for video .. https://www.facebook.com/plugins/video.php? Thanks, Sylvia...just coming in to post this info. The video is too large to post on this site so the link works well. I found the link to paypal to donate isn't working either...is it not working for others or is it just me?

Here is where you can find the link that works: http://www.michaelboltoncharities.com/index.php/about-us/beyond-trauma We found by copying the link off of Michael's charity page and putting it somewhere else makes it unusable so the link you should see the Donate button to the side if you are interested..also gives you a run down on what this program is all about.

MBC have posted an announcement to their FB page on the appointment of a Residency in Music Therapy in Memory of Andie Koplik who passed in September this year. Here is their post plus Press Release:
"The MBC is so proud to announce the establishment of the Andie Koplik Residency in Music Therapy. Andie was a wonderful friend to the MBC for many years. She will be missed by so many but her legacy will live on forever. Press release below...."

"A longtime Tuckahoe educator is having her memory honored with a scholarship funded through music legend Michael Bolton.
The Michael Bolton Charities announced the establishment of the Andie Koplik Residency in Music Therapy as a tribute to the life of the veteran teacher who educated students in the same classroom at Cottle Elementary for 32 years before her death in September.
According to the organization, The Michael Bolton Charities supports the "Beyond Trauma: Youth Music Therapy" program at the New Horizons School in New Haven, a breakthrough music therapy program for high school age youth who have experienced significant trauma, which was launched in 2015.
“Andie was a very special person, with a tireless devotion to young people. She encouraged children to excel, to explore, and to engage with the world around them, providing a great start to their education and having a lasting impact on their lives,” Michael Bolton stated. “It was a privilege to know her, and see her endless enthusiasm for education first-hand.
"Andie’s passion for teaching was only surpassed by her devotion to her family and friends. She believed in providing a strong foundation at home and in schools. She loved and lived so fully, and was a beacon of light to all who knew her."
