Boxes of Michael videos to go through
My lovely friend Jody popped over to see me the other day and she brought me a very special gift.
Two large cardboard boxes full of Amercan and Canadian TV and golf and tennis video footage of Michael dating back to as far as the 1988!!!
I am going to slowly go through these videos and see what I can transfer onto DVD to share with you all.
Stuff like- Larry king show-98
Norfolk cruise 1990
VH1 centre stage
stars in their eyes 93
Disney- For our children concert
Field of dreams
Tennis, golf, softball
voices that care
red faces 99
E1 FYE
German concerts, Spanish appearances
city kids
movies on ice......

Plus loads and loads and loads more.Just look at the pictures. .
This is going to be a horrid task!!! NOT!!!

Hey Jen, the question is: why would your friend want to get rid of them? Has she gotten them on DVD already? Well, in any case, thank you so very much for offering to share such a treasure! Believe me, I'm still a huge fan!!!! It's just that now I don't have the equipment to watch videos and I knew that Jennifer was able to record from video to dvd. I'm not much of a filing clerk so some of them are in a bit of a muddle and it's going to take poor Jen a very long time to make some sense of it all!! But in the end everyone wins hopefully! Thanks Jennifer......have you made a start yet?

Well.......I'm watching one tape right now...does that count?
No seriously, I am planning on sorting through them and want to start copying the ones that look the easiest to copy and catologue, then move onto the the others.
I may not be able to copy them all, but I will give it my best shot.
It may take me a loooooong loooong time, but I will get there (somewhere?) in the end.

Oh yes Juliet, every penny of profit will be going to the UK fan reception charities. I was going to mention this properly when I've got some dvd's made up.

How fun Jennifer. I have tons of compilation VHS tapes like that too in a cubbard in the corner of my living room. Back in the day we dubbed stuff over and all in order by year.. OMG too funny...I have some overseas stuff from those years too that someone gave me back then.. Have a good time digging through it.

I appreciate your concern Sylvie, but the majority of these videos are television clips or videos that the person who gave them to me has filmed themselves at tennis, softball and golf games and matches etc..ot televised concerts, so for now, I was figuring that it would be ok and that copyright wouldnt be an issue.
Once I have managed to go through them all properly, I'll know for sure exactly whats on them all and will be able to make an educated decision as to whether and copyright will be an issue. I may decide to put them onto dvd and keep them for myself, who knows?
Clips are like these are posted everyday on youtube or similar sites and copyright is not an issue with them so why would these videos be any different?
It's not as if I'm profiteering from the sale of the dvd's, infact its the total opposite. 100% of the profit is being split equally between the three charities approved by Michael himself.
Like, I say, I wont know anything until I've viewed them, and until then, and until I've spoken to Gail regarding the contents, their future is certain and my previous post was only stating my wishes.

Jenn, That was so nice of your friend! Have fun with them! I have a few of them and I'm still trying to figure out how to transfer them onto dvd's! Istill watch them cause I still have a video player. That was quite a stash!
