"Fathers and Daughters" the movie.
Michael performs song he co-wrote and the theme tune for the movie "Fathers and Daughters" starring Russell Crowe and it is due to be presented at music festivals where could well earn nominations for awards in the film industry and this is main reason for starting this thread so that anything relevant can be kept together in one place. Hope you all agree ???

Have started this thread at this time because Florin has shared with me on Twitter a video he has found which is the first trailer to "Fathers and Daughters" and Michael sings "Close To You" in it. Here is link and it is beautiful plus it looks one powerful movie and a powerful and awesome performance from the little girl ... absolutely wonderful !!! :)

Here is a little info on the movie itself:
A Pulitzer-winning writer (Crowe) grapples with being a widower and father after a mental breakdown, while, 27 years later, his grown daughter (Seyfried) struggles to forge connections of her own. Fathers and Daughters is directed by Italian filmmaker Gabriele Muccino, of the films Playing for Keeps, Kiss Me Again, Seven Pounds, The Pursuit of Happyness, Remember Me My Love and The Last Kiss previously. The screenplay was written by Brad Desch. The film will be opening in Japan this October, but the US release has yet to be figured out.

Thanks Gail and just read that as looking round Internet and checking for release dates as wondered why the trailer's description was in Japanese and film dubbed as well. Believe my kind of film (mushy & weepy with a powerful message) and will look forward to it being released here.

Omg, that's a Carpenters song, Karen Carpenter. Her and her brother were my idols when I was younger. I memorized every song and believed I would be her when I grew up. Sweet Memory.

Loved them too Karen and still do and quite a few of their songs would love to hear Michael cover especially "(I'm Caught Between) Goodbye and I Love You" ... yes !!! :) There's a suggestion for new CD .;.. just thought of that !!! LOL

Here is official trailer for movie "Fathers and Daughters" and in this you hear Michael singing part of the theme tune, "Fathers & Daughters", and oh boy I can't wait to hear it all and if that man does not have a hit on his hands, I'll eat my hat. As soon as I heard his voice, goosebumps, and then when he sings the words: "fathers and daughters never say goodbye" ... wow, my heart strings went and tears ran. I had better get in a supply of tissues to sit and listen to this song for feel it's going to be another "Til The End Of Forever" for me and for those don't know, I have yet to listen to that song, without crying !!! This one, truly, sounds absolutely wonderful !!! :)

I totally agree with this song being released on his new album. I'm in awe with the many songs he's done in his past with his mom and daughters and family in his heart. If you think about it, how many of us have related each and every song in our own scenarios. How many times have I said, omg, those are my words, my life. Twenty five years of MB, for me, I have felt this way. Thank you Michael. While I endure now, the remainder of my moms life, and the experience the New life of my only sons' future, I look forward to some Mother and Son projects as well. I'm sure MB has loads of fresh memories. God Bless. And. Thank you Helen for the memory you and I shared. Love to all
