I can smell my bread puddings cooking in the oven..............

This just got me thinking, what is your favourite recipes that uses up leftovers?

For those who dont know, Bread pudding is stale (but not mouldy) bread that is soaked in either water or strong tea. Then all the water/tea is squeezed out and dried fruit,(Feel free to add whatever dried fruit you like including apricots, prunes, figs dates etc..etc..)

sugar, butter, mixed spices and if you wish, a shot of whisky or brandy. Mix all together then spoon into a buttered dish and cook in a hot oven (approx 200 degrees) until a skewer will come out clean.

When the pudding has cooled slightly, sprinkle sugar on the top. Eat hot or cold on its own or with custard.

I'm going to have a small slice later with a cup of tea. Yummy!!
