Michael BoltonI spoke to singer Michael Bolton this week, as a part of my Local Radio job.

I read his official bio and cruised around a few websites, to see what interesting facts about him I could turn up.

There on Wikipedia it said that he was in the movie Dune, alongside Kyle McLachlan.

Now that is a cool litle factoid we could chat about!

The only trouble?  It's not true.

I know, because I asked him.  Apparently there's someone else named Michael Bolton who is in that film, but it's not him.  And he's tired of being asked about it.

So let's do him a favour and remove it from his Wikipedia page.

I've provided the embarassing bit of audio below, so you can use this blog entry as a primary source.

How funny and yet we had that photo of him posted on here yonks ago where he has the peircing blue eyes!!

There is a production designer/art director named Michael S Bolton-probably who the singer is being confused with. the credit given for a Michael Bolton is being an extra playing a drummer during a duel.

Nice find, Wes. It does look a bit like him, especially that long hair. I can see why someone would decide it was Michael Bolton.

But the face is different, and the man himself stated plainly that it's not him. So is anyone keen on editing the wiki page?
