I was having trouble with the MB Dates Added thread going to the last page so I'm thinking it is at it's limit so starting this new thread.

You are going to find a number of things on the web and on band member's websites before I announce, or they end up in the Tour section here, or MB's official Facebook and I want to explain why. Michael's management and tour people start setting things up and working with promoters and venues most times a long time before we hear about them. There are logistics that have to be worked out as well as schedules, deposits, agreements, etc that are all signed and ok'd before Michael's people consider them confirmed. The band member's may put them on their websites also before we do because they are given the dates while they are being worked on, so they will hold those dates in their busy schedules as well. A lot of the band do other gigs when they aren't with Michael so they are asking them to hold those dates. Promoters and venues sometimes post before all is confirmed on Michael's end as well because they want to get the word out and tickets sold but sometimes that works against them and most of us have seen that happen when a concert doesn't work out and tickets have to be refunded or taken down with no explanation. Most of the times the ones you find on websites of the venues or band member's sites do work out but because there is the chance they might not until all i's are dotted we don't post on the main page until it is!!

Thanks again Pilar! If I may I shall add some info as to why perhaps some events are not widely publicized. The Venetian event and the Grammy Theatre event are basically private events and by that I mean there are some hoops you have to jump through. For example: the Venetian concert you have to have membership with the HSN credit card company or receive an invite from the Grazie group at the Venetian. It appears it is for basically high rollers. I got this info from the Venetian Hotel. On the Grammy event on the 12th one needs to be a Grammy member OR have an American Express Card OR have been able to buy a tix via ticket master to whom The Grammy Theatre released a block of tickets. As well as I can tell that block has been sold out. As with all tickets I am sure at the very last minute something might open for the Grammy event.....don't think so for the Venetian event. Soooo I think perhaps because of these prerequisites the publicity is more directed at those folks in those groups. Of course I don't know anything for sure but these are my thoughts on the topic :)) Feel free to add if anyone else has more info!!

Hi!
You are all welcome. Internet is a wide source of information, as we all know, and sometimes, the right to publish or announce something is not only in one of the sides (the artist, for example) but in the company, or in the advertisement sides too. Sometimes, as Kathy says, some of the events are private ones.... so what we just say here is that sometimes, even being out, we have to wait for the official confirmation, or just, know that we can not attend some of them (not sure if I am explaining what I want to explain!!! LOL)
The good thing is that, for example, for this one from HSN, they has a Youtube official account and maybe, as they have done with Josh Groban concert, Michael's one could be posted there too... BUT... nothing for sure yet.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Thanks very much for coming back to us with information Pilar.....thanks !!! :)

Thanks Pilar for your info :) As is always with information more and more comes out. I was relaying what the Venetian receptionist said about MB's concert and that was that they were not selling tickets but HSN was renting the venue from them. She did mention having to have a HSN card..Home Shopping Network credit card. Well..that is not correct either but what you have to do is go to the HSN site to book a room at the Venetian and then you get 2 concert tickets. I do know that the Vegas hotels offer private sponsored events for the high rollers when you belong to their player card groups. Anyway....hope things are clearer now. Btw....this concert will be taped live and SHOWN on the HSN channel on Feb. 8 at 8 ET !!! So tune in everyone :) I have never watched that channel....who knew???? lol

Thanks for all the info Kathy R..Yeah who knew!!LOL
Robin in MD :)
Thank you Kathy R,
Funny I used to watch that channel in CA, but haven't seen it in over 16 years, will be sure to check it out on Feb 8 for sure.

Just saw the HSN commercial for Michael's concert at the Venetian in Las Vegas on 2/8 ... it will be phenomenal! From the HSN website, or by calling the HSN network at 1-800-284-3100 you can pre-order the autobiography as well as the new CD. Might make it easy for some to obtain their copies. Can't wait to see the broadcast - I hope Michael breaks all sales records for the most CD's sold at HSN! Counting the days now ...You also can purchase tickets to the show/hotel room from the website. There is no cost to become a member of HSN and it is relatively easy to obtain an HSN Mastercard.
Thanks Jackie....every piece of info adds to the full picture!!!
