MB Dates Added Part 2

I was having trouble with the MB Dates Added thread going to the last page so I'm thinking it is at it's limit so starting this new thread.

You are going to find a number of things on the web and on band member's websites before I announce, or they end up in the Tour section here, or MB's official Facebook and I want to explain why.  Michael's management and tour people start setting things up and working with promoters and venues most times a long time before we hear about them. There are logistics that have to be worked out as well as schedules, deposits, agreements, etc that are all signed and ok'd before Michael's people consider them confirmed.  The band member's may put them on their websites also before we do because they are given the dates while they are being worked on, so they will hold those dates in their busy schedules as well. A lot of the band do other gigs when they aren't with Michael so they are asking them to hold those dates.  Promoters and venues sometimes post before all is confirmed on Michael's end as well because they want to get the word out and tickets sold but sometimes that works against them and most of us have seen that happen when a concert doesn't work out and tickets have to be refunded or taken down with no explanation. Most of the times the ones you find on websites of the venues or band member's sites do work out but because there is the chance they might not until all i's are dotted we don't post on the main page until it is!!

I understand some of you had a problem with the presale this morning.  What happened was they set it to automatically change this morning to go onsale and it didn't work so they are checking into why but it is working now.  I'm told if this happens again or you have any problems or questions email:

Melanie Fiona: Melanie Fiona is a singer/songwriter signed to SRC/Universal Motown Records. I'm originally from Toronto but my family is Guyanese so we're from the West Indies. Big ups to all my West Indies people! I was born and raised in Toronto. My mom and dad listened to a lot of fantastic music when I was growing up. Being first generation immigrants to Canada they really brought over the traditional music of Reggae, Soca, Calypso and groups that they grew up listening to back in the day which was a lot of old soul [music].
My dad used to play in a band and I've watched him and his band rehearse; listened to music that was played around the house that stemmed from great soul artists like Sam Cook and Bob Marley. So I grew up listening to fantastic music with my family playing music and growing up in North America listening to Pop, Hip Hop and R&B and what not; it really influenced the type of music that I do today. I've been traveling and working hard the last few years to come to the States from Toronto. It hasn't been easy but it's been rewarding so far. I've had a lot of producers and executives who really didn't understand what type of record I was trying to do. I met Steve Rifkind in 2007 and now I have my record deal and my first album is coming out this year called ‘The Bridge.’

Thanks Gail. Sounds like an exciting new duet from MB's Motown CD!!! I hope someone can video tape it and post it on youtube...Robin Rehder has said she's attending..hope to hear from her afterwards..
