Michael and his Jersey show
Hey Gang,
Even though I'm glad Michael is going to Atlantic City next year, I was wondering about something. Does he ever perform here in New York City? This charity show he's doing on Wednesday is in New Jersey and AC is in New Jersey....yet Michael likes to call Wednesday's show "his only performance in the New York area this year". Technically Michael, New Jersey is not part of the New York area. It's a separate state just like Connecticut is a separate state. Anyway, excuse me if I sound cranky...it's just that I find it very annoying with all the theatre's and clubs we have in Manhattan, Brooklyn, etc..., that some artists avoid coming here and always head to New Jersey! It's not easy for some people to travel that distance... If a show is in New York I can manage to go alone, but going to AC, I will only go if I have someone to go with. So Michael, I appreciate it if you take that into consideration when making future stops on your tour next year. If I miss your show at AC, give me something else to look forward to! Thanks Michael....excuse me if I sound like a pesty fan. :)

I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND HOW YOU FEEL I AM FROM NYC (MANHATTAN) AND ALSO WONDER IF HE HAS PERFORMED IN NYC I HAVE BEEN A FAN FOR 20+ YEARS AND ONLY REMEMBER HIM DOING ONE CONCERT IN NYC IN 1992 AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN HE HAS DONE A COUPLE CONCERTS IN BROOKLYN (I ATTENDED ONE ABOUT FOUR YEARS AGO) THERE ARE SO MANY PLACES HE CAN PERFORM IN NYC MADISON SQUARE GARDEN, RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL, BEACON THEATER TO NAME A FEW IN THE LAST FOUR YEARS HE HAD A TOTAL OF TWO CONCERTS SCHEDULED IN NYC BOTH CANCELLED WITHOUT EXPLANATION ONE ABOUT THREE YEARS AGO AT LINCOLN CENTER AND ONE THIS YEAR AT THE EHTICAL CENTRE
I AGREE WITH YOU NEW JERSEY IS A SEPARATE STATE BUT I THINK MICHAEL CONSIDERS IT THE NEW YORK AREA BECAUSE IT IS EASILY ACCESSIBLE BY CAR, BUS AND TRAIN I DO NOT THINK HE KNOWS THAT A LOT OF HIS FANS GOES TO HIS CONCERTS ALONE AND TRAVELING BY PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION AT NIGHT ALONE IS NOT THE SAFEST THING ALSO A LOT OF HIS CONCERTS ARE SCHEDULE ON WEEKDAYS AND MOST OF US WORK AND DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH TRAVEL TIME TO MAKE IT TO THE CONCERTS (THIS IS PART OF REASON I AM UNABLE TO MAKE THE NEWARK NJ CONCERT) IT IS VERY UNLIKELY I WILL BE ABLE TO GO TO THE AC CONCERT IT IS TOO FAR AND LIKE YOU CANNOT GO ALONE
PLEASE MICHAEL TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION THE FANS IN NYC WHO CANNOT TRAVEL TO NJ WHEN PLANNING FUTURE SHOWS

Hi Gloria,
That is my frustration too...if I don't have my mother to go with me to AC I won't be going as well! We would travel by bus and need to sleep over one night in order to see Michael's show. If he was performing around here, I can just go after work and not drag her with me. You say Michael has performed in Brooklyn...really? Where? I don't ever remember hearing about it, but then I have not really followed Michael over the years like most of the die hard fans have. I thought a place like the Theatre at Madison Square Garden, Nokia Theatre or Beacon would be good for Michael to have his concert, so I was a little annoyed seeing the AC date...and just when he will be in New Jersey tomorrow night! Well if he comes back to Brooklyn that would be fine with me. They do have free summer concerts at Coney Island, but don't know if he does any free shows or not. Personally I prefer indoor concerts, but Coney Island is better than New Jersey....at least for me!

MICHAEL HAD PERFORMED IN BROOKLYN IN 2005 AND 2008 AT THE SEASIDE SUMMER CONCERT AT ASSER LEVY PARK AT CONEY ISLAND I ATTENDED THE 2005 CONCERT AND IT WAS GOOD BUT SHORT MICHAEL WAS LATE FOR THE CONCERT AND PERFORMED FOR ONLY ABOUT AN HOUR IT DID NOT START UNTIL ABOUT 8:45PM AND ENDED JUST BEFORE 10:00PM THIS WAS THE LAST TIME I SAW MICHAEL IN CONCERT I AGREE WITH YOU THAT THERE ARE PLENTY
OF GOOD THEATRES IN NYC THAT HE CAN PERFORM IN BUT HE ALWAYS SEEMS TO PERORM IN THE SAME PLACES EVERY YEAR ESPECIALLY AC AND NJ ANY PLACE IN NYC BE IT BROOKLYN , MANHATTAN AND EVEN STATEN ISLAND IS BETTER THEN NJ FOR ME

I am so excited, I just got off of the phone with Eilee. She is at Michael's concert in New Jersey tonight. She called me just as he started singin Soul Provider. That is one of my favorites!!! She is going to try to call when he sings TLT. I am so excited. Wish I could have been there!!! Michael is awesome!!!! Eileen thank you so much, you are the best, I love ya girl!!!!
