Hi Gail and thanks for the link. Well as far as I’m concerned, I’m with Robin: Michael hadn’t told us this was the actual title and no Robin, you haven’t missed anything new about the album. I’m thinking they only mentioned a few titles. I don’t think I’ve read anywhere on the PledgeMusic site how many songs there’d be on the album though. In any case, thanks again Gail, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Thanks Gail for article.  Michael did call one of his up-dates "Songs of Cinema" and in the Valentine's interview when he talks about new album he says "Songs of Cinema" but if we are being exceptionally pedantic he has never actually said that is the title.  The last Michael specifically said about title, that I can remember, was to a question about and he said he would come back and ask us for our input but so far, he hasn't.  On the track list there are at least a couple missing for what they have given is the six Michael gave in the update in December and have added news about Dolly Parton but at different times he has confirmed and said about others.  One I will mention on here because he confirmed it on a question I asked and it was if Fathers & Daughters would be on it and he answered me with a "Yes!!!"

Hi Sylvia and Gail

I thought this album was going to be released before Michael's UK tour, or I have I just assumed? Only a month away from his appearances here - need to start getting ready :0) - and no news on a release date?

Margaret in Kent

Hi Margaret, in Michael's 2 Q&A's he's done on the PledgeMusic site, he was asked about the release date and the targetted period was before the U.K. tour, but he never actually hammered down an official date. Things happen and get moved and we've had several delays for CD releases in the past. The good news is that at least, you guys will hear some of the new songs live. :D I hope that helps. Take care Margaret. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Margaret and as Sylvie says no date was given although initially Michael did say he hoped, February but definitely before UK tour.  Would say, if he has been working hard over last little while, and maybe one reason for him having been quiet on various media sites, might still see before Tour and somehow wouldn't be surprised if we get update after show tomorrow in Biloxi.  Have got to remember he has got other irons in the fire, for sit-com still on go as well as promotion for documentary, just have to keep fingers crossed that album makes it to top of his list !!! lol

Michael has been on Twitter and Facebook with news about new album.   Firstly here is tweet along with pic posted of himself, Joe Walsh and Walter Afanasieff

By Michael using hashtag of "Songs of Cinema" would say confirmation that that is title as well as other information found on it.  Have asked in tweet if that is definite confirmation but as Michael, in post on FB, says about update on Pledge Music possibly it will be confirmed there.  Here is his post on FB along with another photo which shows himself again with Joe and Walter but also another sound engineer/producer who we have seen him work with before but do not know his name.

"Studio recording with #legend #joewalsh#oldtimerockandroll #riskybusiness check outPledgeMusic for a sneak peek and to preorder!!"

Have asked, in further tweet, if because of reference to Pledge Music and there being nothing new there if in fact he is going to do an update soon.  Obviously, will let you know if get response.

Hi Sylvia, that's so cool! Thanks for the update, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Couldn't you just hear Michael singing this song?  When I wrote it, I had a particular style of delivery in mind, and although the friend I recruited to do the vocal did a very fine version, he might be just a little too much on the wild side to really cross over to the audience I had in mind.  Nonetheless, his iinfluences from Mr. Bolton are readily apparent.   Feel free to give me feedback, it would be so cool to have one of my songs covered by someone with world-class technique.....JJ Johnson     here is a quick link--              https://clyp.it/fa0jrsln

Hi Jeff, I hate to tell you this, but the link says "clip not found". Also, Michael is doing an album with movie themes, so not quite what he's looking for. Very cool you had Michael in mind when you wrote a song though. Take care Jeff, if I may call you Jeff and have a great weekend. sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

that is so odd, as I just clicked on it and it worked.  I am on the run at the moment, but will see what may be the deal later....

Hi Jeff, I tried it again with the same results, so it might be on my end as I have an outdated browser, I'm sorry. In any case, it sounds like you may be a long-timerso look around the forum if there's any conversation you'd like to take part of and if you need help, just shout. Take care and good luck with your songwriting. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

https://www.facebook.com/jeffrey.johnson.50999  I stuck iit on my timeline, it is called That Dusty Town, maybe that will work for you....
