Miscellany but exceptionally relevant information about, or from Michael on, MB.

Thought I would start this thread for there does appear, at times, to be different relevant articles, tweets, retweets, pictures etc relating to Michael but not really fitting into an already recognized thread nor, each of them individually, being able to be grouped together where a relevant thread could be started and so decided on this "Miscellany" thread.   

I hope you agree with its relevance and that you enjoy everything that is put in as well as hoping that many will find interesting tidbits about Michael that can be included and help to make this, whilst a serious sharing of information, a FUN page to be able to visit too and, as is my intention, somewhere that everything which does not have a particular "home" can be placed, so that is all grouped together and can be easily found and located if someone wants to look at.

Here now, so that we can all focus on the main reason for this thread, is a beautiful picture of the "Theme" of the thread.......wonder if MB has ever been called that before ???? LOL. 

 

 

Believe this one definitely belongs in here for I would say sharing with us that coconut sorbet is his favourite dessert is both miscellaneous and more than extremely relevant to the "THEME" of this website and in particular, to this thread  !! LOL.

Have brought this description over from a thread Tina Papa has started in General Chat and it tells the story of the picture of Michael and Damon Marks which is above.

 

"Hi All! I want to share this awesome picture with you and tell you a little bit about it.

I support, along with Michael Bolton Charities, a nonprofit organization called Traveling Guitar Foundation, founded by renowned guitarist, Damon Marks. Damon brings his foundation to  inner city schools across the US and saves music education programs for kids. To date, he's worked with 25,000 students and has donated hundreds of brand new electric acoustic guitars and musical equipment to over 100 schools, including an 8 week music curriculum which any teacher can instruct to students at virtually no extra cost to the school.
This photo was taken on February 20th at the State Theater show in New Jersey.  Damon and Michael are holding a beautiful guitar which Michael signed to support music education for kids' schools. This guitar will be auctioned soon, and 100% of the proceeds will support Traveling Guitar Foundation's work.  Thank you Michael for your generosity and support to keep music alive in schools for kids!"

Thought I would share with you a post that Michael Bolton Charities put out on FB yesterday in connection with the Bill that was before the Senate on VAWA, which Michael supported fully and added his voice to by attending and speaking at the recent rally held on Capitol Hill in support of the Bill and as it has now been passed by the Senate and awaits the President's signature Michael has sent his congratulations to all those involved............
 
 "The House passed the inclusive Senate VAWA reauthorization!  The Bill will be sent to the President to Sign!    Michael would like to send his personal congratulations to the many organizations and advocates that worked tirelessly to pass this most important bill and to the task force for their efforts in making this happen!"

In my humble opinion this is certainly something that the Senate has got right but we still need a lot more laws, throughout the world, till it gets anywhere near being what it has to be !!

A video put out in Latvia for Michael's concert there on 12th May at the Arena Riga, Riga, Latvia.   Only a very short video and obviously in Latvian but thought I would share for you do see and hear Michael !! lol

Michael will be performing in Latvia, in Riga..

In the video they say that Michael will be performing in Latvia for the first time..

It's not true! In 2007, Michael acted in the Latvian city of Jurmala at the festival "New wave" :))

By the way, Latvia is the former republic of the USSR. In Latvia there live many Russians..

Can you get across to Latvia Olga or is it still too far to travel from where you are in Siberia ??  Michael is also playing in Poland, 8th and 10th May as well as Bucharest, Romania on 16th May with Kiev on 18th May and these have all been announced and confirmed in the MB Dates Added thread.   I was seriously thinking about Riga but then decided against and to save my pennies for a concert tour here in the UK...hopefully in 2014, hopefully !!! :)
