Miscellany but exceptionally relevant information about, or from Michael on, MB.

Thought I would start this thread for there does appear, at times, to be different relevant articles, tweets, retweets, pictures etc relating to Michael but not really fitting into an already recognized thread nor, each of them individually, being able to be grouped together where a relevant thread could be started and so decided on this "Miscellany" thread.

I hope you agree with its relevance and that you enjoy everything that is put in as well as hoping that many will find interesting tidbits about Michael that can be included and help to make this, whilst a serious sharing of information, a FUN page to be able to visit too and, as is my intention, somewhere that everything which does not have a particular "home" can be placed, so that is all grouped together and can be easily found and located if someone wants to look at.

Here now, so that we can all focus on the main reason for this thread, is a beautiful picture of the "Theme" of the thread.......wonder if MB has ever been called that before ???? LOL.

Believe this one definitely belongs in here for I would say sharing with us that coconut sorbet is his favourite dessert is both miscellaneous and more than extremely relevant to the "THEME" of this website and in particular, to this thread  !! LOL.

Hope everyone enjoys content and feels free to add their very own miscellany !!! :)

An artcle circulating Twitter right now from The New York Times Magazine to do with ticket sclapers and it mentions Michael as well as mentioning him in headline so thought I would bring over for anyone interested.........

Thanks for the article, Sylvia. I have never had the ticket scalper problem personally, I only purchase through venues. I beg to differ with the writer, in Oklahoma anyway, I have found MB's concert tickets very fairly priced. Thanks for the info, helpful warning about scalpers to folks. Hugs,

Kathy T. :-)
Sylvia,
Interesting, what I am wondering is are most concerts different prices in different parts of the country and the world for that matter?  I always buy direct from the venue or Ticketmaster. Like Kathy, I always have found MB's to be fair prices.  I always get 1st or 2nd row seats and have paid between $75 to $155. Venues I am talking about are Atlantic City, NJ, some from North Jersey and some in New York City. I know my daughter has paid up to $300 to get front row for Aerosmith so I thought MB's prices were very fair. I did check today and a NJ venue has these prices as the best section for :
$130 Bruno Mars, $95 Justin Bieber, $118 Michael Buble, $107 Josh Groban, $183 Rod Stewart, $125 Pink.
So compared to them, MB's is very fair.
So I DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT:
Some artists, like Streisand and Michael Bolton, seem to charge as much as the market will bear —
Joy
NJ

I know tickets up in NY area are much more expensive as well as down near DC...PA and more rural areas they are cheaper, it's the population area and the cost of things in general in some areas I think affect it too. MB's had good prices and I have used a scalper over the years here and there to get good seats...and the seats were great and we had no issues but we didn't buy on a street corner, we got them ahead of time via phone or online.  MB's tix aren't overpriced but like in Newark in 2010 those seats were around $125.00 face value down front where most areas I go to are about half that, but it's that area..not MB. Hope that makes sense.

I don't agree with that statement either Joy.
