Hi Lue, you’re not the only one who would buy CD’s of demos Michael recorded! He was describing the process in a 2002 AOL interview once and it sounded like heaven: just his voice  and very little instrumentation... I think he should make them available for download and give the money for charity if he’d like… I love that song too… Have you heard the song “Living without your love” on the Doug James page? I just love that song and all the vocals Michael does on those demos are fantastic! About Michael not being in the songwriters Hall Of Fame, I’m supposing there are certain standards  that haven’t yet been obtained. It has nothing to do with song quality, it’s the recognition of it that’s lacking, alas… Good question though, thanks Lue, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

I saw the AOL clip. His voice is the real thing. No auto tune needed. I also like Living Without Your Love. He also does an excellent job on Try Getting Over You. This song will make a great duet. He should think about recording it with Reba or Shania Twain.

 

If he recorded the demos for the public to buy, other artists would never attempt to record them. No one like being second best. Nevertheless I hope one day he will release selected demos for sale. I do mean the demos, no re-recording. His demos are perfect just the way they are.

Hi again Lue, I agree no auto-tune needed: ain’t nothin’ like the real thing! :D You said you saw the AOL clip, are you talking about the 3 songs or the interview? Loved the songs but I was talking about the interview. Hmm, that’s an interesting concept: a country duet and a few people have suggested it in the past. Have you ever checked out the “My dream duet” thread in the music section? Good thread with some very good ideas in there.  Well, about other people recording Michael’s demos, some people have done it, some successfully, but with a different flavor: it’s a question of taste. Not everyone enjoys Barbra Streisand, but she sang “We’re not making love” very well, you know what I mean? I had a friend who hated Barb’s version. Before I knew Michael, I can’t say I was a huge fan of Laura Branigan’s although I do enjoy some of her music, but when I heard her sing HAISTLWY, I thought:”Wow, finally, a great song!” and I felt the same about Cher’s version of “I found someone”. Oh I fully agree about the demos being perfect: they’re snapshots in time and Michael’s voice is gorgeous, plus the emotion he was feeling at the time about those is right there. You know, this reminds me of something Simon Cowel said on “American Idol” once. This well intentioned young man sang HAISTLWY and Simon said:”Not as good as the original.” Well duh! That doesn’t mean it was horrid… Some people like cherry, some people like lemon, some people like chocolate: it’s a matter of taste but it’s still possible to enjoy all flavors. Went back into Christina`s thread on above video - once I had found it - it has taken me about ten minutes - I need a piece of string following me round this place I really do .....lol.  - but, as I said - don`t know why - doesn`t work for me - just stays with picture of Michael`s face on screen but no video connection - och well, at least I have seen it now and I thought it was great - am away for that wee cup of tea and then it is bed - can hear it calling - nightie night - sleep tight and don`t let the bugs bite !!!!!!!  lol.

Thanks a million for posting - on Sylvie`s note - yeh Christina put in but we could`nt all access it - can`t remember why not (do you expect a miracle!) - fantastic video - I think I have just broken Copyright laws because I have posted onto Facebook - I managed it - but somehow I don`t think I should have done - och well ,tough, all they can do is throw me of Facebook - been thrown out of better places !!!!!   LOL.  Thanks again for putting here - I am away to watch again before I call it a night - I`ll have a wee cup of tea and enjoy Michael.

Thanks for putting in link......you're getting as good as me at performing these "miracles" .......it doesn't work!    You know that wee fisty hand with the finger pointing up the way just like that orange dot in the messages - you know what I'm talking about (thank God nobody else does) - WELL - it didn't appear so we can't play .....and there was me looking forward to seeing that hair blowing in the breeze again - oh well, another illusion destroyed - just have to go and get my haggis and chips out the oven instead!  boo hoo hoo!
