Thanks. I hope you get yours soon.
Thanks Lue, you know they say everything happens for a reason? A friend ordered the bundle for me so it'll take longer to get here, but hopefully, by  the time she gets it, the Canadian postal strike will be done. Wish me luck! Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Oh that is brilliant Lue - I am so pleased for you that you have your copy and if you believe it is as good as "The One Thing" because that album, for me, has never been beaten - OMG I cannot wait to get it!!! :)   You sit back, feet up, and enjoy !!!! :)

Good Morning,

here are the videos from Dresden, June 24th I promised a couple of days ago.  Since I had a first row ticket I hoped they would become really good – as good as possible for a mobile – but unfortunately most of the time MB’s face and/or body is covered in a white aura due to the spotlight. Therefore no expression on his face is visible which is quite disappointing - so you don’t miss too much, Sylvie and Robin. Also I tried my best not to shout etc. but I was not successful all the time –LOL. Yet, I think the sound is worth uploading. Enjoy.

Greetings from Germany

Astrid

Just  a few seconds of MB playing with our "Pink Ladies-Ballons. The writing on them says: "Dear Michael. Welcome to Germany"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BS56MtdxCY

It translates to:

Cover songs of Richard Rynkowskiego - Happy road it's time

Thanks Gail for interpretation of title !! :)   I have been told Google translate is rubbish so maybe it is time I stopped using it !!!! LOL.

Do you know anything else about the song Gail as to why Michael performed it or if it is going to feature in something or on something in the future ?? :)   It is absolutely beautiful !! :)

Sylvia.  Your wee Scottish friend.

Hi Gail, would you have heard  of this televised event Michael took part in? I'm just wondering if there was more of Michael and what we could find out about that song... Just thought I'd ask. Thanks sweetie, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Oh Christine thanks so much for finding - that is beautiful and I have never heard that !!  What the title translates roughly into in English is : "Happy times, longer roads" !!  Maybe it is one that will be included in the European version of "Gems" - it is a beautiful song !! :)

I found the above link and whilst not Michael it is Kenny G performing at the same venue and to me this is so hauntingly beautiful I had to bring over here but this tune is a polka - what Polish composer wrote polkas .....I am going to be on the internet all night trying to suss these two out !!!! LOL.

Oh my goodness Christine, how did you find this? That song is phenomenal, wow! It’s very dramatic, I’d even say theatrical…  I know I always say that but it sounds somewhat familiar… Okay so, I did a little research, but I lack a good translating site. So we know the song is  called: “Szczęśliwej drogi już czas” and the composer’s name is Ryszard Rynkowski. I looked him up on Wikipedia but only found this:

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ryszard_Rynkowski

Which is, I suppose in Polish. However, I found this one in English:

www.mtv.co.uk/artists/ryszard-rynkowski -

This latest one is a link I copied from Google but it won’t let me access it with Jaws, so maybe if someone could copy/paste it, it would work. There seemed to be a bit of a biography. The little bit I read described him as a pianist and a composer, but that’s really, as my son would say, an epic song so I’m wondering where it comes from… Well in any case, thank you so very very much for sharing it Christine! Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Yes Sylvie to me as soon as I heard it it sounded familiar and I was hoping you would come in and straight away say; yes, that is ??? - and you haven't - you naughty girl !!!! LOL   To me it sounded operatic but having been translated into English and immediately I heard it it rang of either Dvorak or Smetana  - why, don't ask me !!!! LOL.   I have looked up Dvorak and I cannot see anything but his name is still there !! lol.  More checking required to be done and I will look into the link you have given above !! :)

Sylvia.  Your wee Scottish friend.

Hi Sylvie,

Below is the transcript that was in your link.  Not much on the page just advertising other works he has composed: so, whether a brand new piece of work, or not, and if it is - WOW - think I'll start listening to !!! :)  :-

"Ryszard Rynkowski (born October 9, 1951 in Elblag) - Polish singer, composer, pianist and actor. Awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of the Renaissance and the Polish Order of the Smile. As a child he studied piano in primary school music. Then I played in amateur bands Elblag. In the years 1967-1970 he studied at secondary school in Elblag, where he ran a cabaret 'So it goes. " With cabaret that in 1968 the Polish School Review Teams North took 2nd place. Musically, the group debuted in 1972, El at the V Festival Student Culture in Olsztyn."

Hey Sylvia, well, to me, the song sounds like it could be musical theater. I have a Polish friend and I'll ask her what she thinks. Funny how, I just sent her the Wiki page, with no mention of Michael, just telling her I was doing research and she said there was no mention of him singing with Michael... :D I guess she knows me too well... Anyway, I'll send her the song. Thanks for the transcript sweetie. I found the song on a 2008 compilation so I still don't know the origin, but I'll keep searching! Let's wish each other luck! Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
