Following a request and suggestion from a very dear friend of all of ours on this forum, Sylvie from Canada, I’ve agreed to set up this thread on behalf of both of us and hope that you’ll join in the fun .
Sylvie's idea came from the age old New Year resolution pledges that we’ve all made and have often all broken, throughout the years, and hoped that by trying a "new sauce" on that "old turkey" it could feel easier for us all and give us a chance to be able to "pat ourselves on the back" and proudly say we achieved our goal of following to the end our... "New Month"... resolution instead........ what do you think?
We both agreed that the month of January would be a "freeby" so we can share suggestions if any of our usual active forum members are interested in this project which, we both hope, will turn into something worthwhile and a lot of fun too. So guys, if you’d like to take part, please feel free to share your ideas of what you think would be useful and fun resolutions for all of us to follow each month.
Obviously this January is, apart from a "freeby" month, a trial month too so that Sylvie and I can see your interest in this and figure out what the majority think so that we can start February with a very firm idea of what our 1st Resolution will be. Each one, thereafter, will be clearly displayed before the month begins and will be advertised with an MB calendar as is shown below for our "freeby" month of January. We hope that each month we can all share stories, tips and cheer each other on.
If you’re interested please join in and give us your thoughts and let’s make this great forum even more of a fun place to visit where we can all come together as friends, thanks to our love and admiration for our Michael.

Well Gang, I finally baked the cookies this weekend..... I'm happy to report that my co-workers loved them!!! By 2:00 this afternoon, there was one cookies left....LOL!!! I am very proud of my first Baking accomplisment!!! I'm planning to bake brownies next time, and will buy a baking pan this weekend. :)
Hey Helena, congratulations on finally baking your cookies, I call dibs on the last one! :D Wow, you’re getting ambitious, what’s next, fudge? Hmm, what could MB and BM stand for? Molto Baci and Bella Mama? Lol Thanks for sharing your accomplishment with us sweetie: you’re the first achiever this month! Take care Helena. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Thanks a million Helena for bringing them over here.....gee thanks !!!!! :) Have got to say though that "MB's" is a far better looking cookie.....even that little heart has a better shape than old "BM's" and how darn appropriate for today, Valentine's Day - yeah !!!! lol. I still love the one with all the little green sprinklers on for St.Pat's or the way you have decorated that little one down in the corner here with the red, green and white icing is pretty lovely looking and I like that floral shape too.....och to hang I will admit it .....I love them all !!!!!!!!! LOL,. Well done you and I am glad they went down such a treat at the office ....well done !!!! :)

Thanks girls....glad you like the pictures!!! My next baking adventure will be brownies!!! My mother really wants a chocolate treat, so I agreed to make that for her, in addition to bringing them to the office. Also planning on trying my new blender (the red one) and making that "Bolton Soup"!!! So will keep you girls posted..... Tonight I'm going to see William Shatner on Broadway and Friday night I have the other Broadway show. Then a busy weekend..... Catch you all later..... :)
Helena xx
I know for this month we agreed on a little "poem" for Michael's birthday but seeing this is also an important day in February here is a wee "ditty" I made up:-
You are my recipe to fill "The Hunger"
where "Slowly"
and "Simply"
you found "The Centre of my Heart"
and "Since I Fell For You"
"From Now On"
everytime you "Reach Out I'll Be There"
so "Lean On Me"
and "Let's Go The Distance"
for "I Promise you"
"Till The End of Forever"
on 14th February, each year, you will be;
"My Funny Valentine".
and here for those of you not on FB is my little card I made and put out for all my friends today on FB and here too and for Robin and Sylvie it is framed at the top left hand corner with yellow lines containing two yellow hearts and a bow and then inside there is a "glittery" picture of three yellow hearts and in "glittery" and different coloured writing I have put the words "Happy Valentine's Day to all my FRIENDS !" spread over four lines -
Anybody else got any wee Valentine Day rhymes.....please share and BTW that little rhyme I have done is especially for my wee goldfish, Tuppence, just in case anyone wants to start any rumours !!!!!!!! LOL.

Hey Sylvia, wow, you’ve been busy! I read your text and found that you forgot to put “Every time” in quotes... :D Easy for me to nit-pick when I can't even contribute anything, huh? ;D Your card sounds lovely, thanks for the description sweetie! Cute name for a goldfish, btw. Well, thank you for sharing Sylvia, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Sylvie I have got to admit, in a whisper, I forgot all about that one and I listened to "Everybody's Crazy" the day before and I had it playing on repeat too.......it is my age, definitely......that is the amendment I'm pleading, whichever number that is !!!!!!!! LOL.
