I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR YOU PERSONAL STORIES LIKE SOME I HAVE ALREADY READ. I HEARD HOW KIND HE WAS WHEN YOU MET HIM. WHAT IT WAS LIKE FOR YOU. I HEARD SOME OF YOU SAY HOW DOWN TO EARTH HE WAS, FLOWER SENT FROM HIM. WHEN YOU SHARES THESE I FEEL LIKE IM THERE AS WELL. ESPECIALLY THE PHOTO'S I LOVE SO VERY MUCH.

Hi Tina, For me it's been just different situations over time and a lot of luck, traveling and attending events. Michael has ALWAYS been sweet and kind to myself and my friends. Truly he has. He really appreciates his fans and enjoys chatting with his fans. My first time I ever talked to him was at a record signing in NC in 1994, had a program from a prior performance with me from Orchestra New England, at Yale University in CT, that was my first autograph and I have it still in a frame and we chatted briefly about that event and his music, and told him I traveled some to see him. Saw him play softball up close and personal that summer as well, said a few words then too briefly..Just with time and being where I was supposed to be over time and him seeing my friends and I over time he got to gradually know us. He asked me this spring after a show how long it has been and I told him 16 years-a 16 year amazing journey and he liked that, was teasing around about it some too, he's got a great sense of humor and it comes out at times!LOL Everyone's experiences are different. That's a little of how my adventure began.

It is true that some of us have been lucky enough to meet with Michael a few times, but I feel certain that your turn will come aswell though.

Keep a look out on ebay.com for passes for auction on there. I was told that there were a couple a few weeks back, but I didnt look as I have mine already for this Novemember and some for next year too.

If I see any, I will let you know. Sometimes they go for thousands of dollars though so be prepared. I have seen some that went for $6,000

Charity bids have them aswell sometimes along with two tickets and two passes. These usually go for quite a high price as well and I think the last ones went for nearly $4,000.

It's such a shame that Michael cant come out of the stage door when he's finished meeting the local busines people etc.. because by the time he's ready to leave about 2 hours after the concert, there would usually only be a handful of fans left behind in the cold, icy, damp, windy, freezing stage door exit. Even a quick group shot would be greatly appreciated by those dedicated fans who wait so patiently year after year in the cold, damp, windy...oh, I already mentioned that bit?

I'll keep my eyes open for you and will let you know if I see any. With any luck, there might be UK M & G give aways like the ones for a few of the US concerts.

Just for the record and as most of you will know, if I have a spare pass, I always hold a mini competition on here so that another fan can win it and share the fun and I will do the same this year if I end up with a spare one so keep a look out on here as I always post it in off topic.

I AGREE EILEEN, MAYBE ONE DAY! HAVE YOU EVER SEEN HIM LIVE OR IN CONCERT?
Hi! Tina I have seen Michael many many times is concert over the last 20something years! Always close but not right up front. I could have had his autograph but my son being a wonderful boy I raised him to be didn't feel right asking Michael for his autograph with his kids there. You see he visited a mall in the early 1990's on his way up to take his daughters up to camp. They walked into the record store that my son Michael was asst mang. for. He said when Michael walked in and started looking around he went to his boss and whispered that looks like Michael Bolton (and you can be sure my son knew what he looked like)he had a cap on and sun glasses. So they went over to Michaels section and sure enough it was him! I love my son for caring about giving him his space with his kids but!!! I walled in 20 minutes later and told him I was ready to kill him but thought well thats how I raised him. Michael says he was very nice and bought some music and left. I also went to a concert in March and it was a small venue but it was amazing I went up to the stage and he held my hand for a minute. I was flying I was so excited my girlfriend had to take most of the pictures I was so excited. The concert was amazing and after we stayed around where the buses where but never saw him;-(! But he is an amazing man he had me in tears when he sang HOW AN I SUPPOSED TO LIVE WITHOUT YOU? the tears just came from nowhere! But I was going through a very hard time at the time and he mad it feel better with his songs and the way hes sings them with such feeling! I was on cloud nine for weeks!! But my biggest wish is to meet him and get a picture with him! And tell how he makes us all feel! His music has gotten me through so very much in my life and continues to do so! Going to see him in Nov and have tried everything to see if there is a m & g but no one seems like no one knows anything! And who knows the next time I will get to see him!! You are right though the people on this website are the most wonderful people in the world! And become close friend you can depend on for support! They are all very warm and friend and through this one mean we have wonderful friends! I hope you have luck with trying to meet him soon!
Love Eileen xoxo
Hya Eileen and Tina,

Anyone who is attending the concert where I am using my pass is welcome to enter (Royal Albert Hall 23rd November 2010) and my neighbour draws a name out of the hat so that it is totally fair.

The first name out wins irrespective of whether they've been backstage with me several times before or not.

I may also run another draw the same as I have done for the past couple of years that for someone to win the chance of recieving a personally signed 'mini poster' (I will always do my best to get Michael to sign it, but naturally this is very much dependant on how much time Michaels manager allows us.) Last year Michael Howarth won it and he was delighted with his autograph.

This time, I have heaps of items that I need Michael to sign for the UK fan reception charity's so time really will be of the essence, so it may be that the person who comes backstage with me may not be able to have a photograph or autograph with Michael, but just have the fun of meeting Michael instead. I will need to think about the best way to organise this.

Still, its a while away, so no need to start panicking just yet. Ha Ha!!

Love Jennifer XX
I met Michael for the first time back in 1994 at a "This Close" event in Ct. Way back then, they had a personal cocktail party which was included in the fundraiser ticket and you got to meet him and have a personal picture taken with him . He gave big hugs back then and talked quite a bit to ya. I had my first picture taken with him at that event, then got a personal autograph on it the following summer at a softball game. We have traveled ALOT to see him at softball games, concerts, special events, even a toy drive , etc over the years. I used to live on the east coast from CT to North Carolina, and my husband was deployed with the navy alot, so I would drag the kids with me to see him at various places up and down the coast, but my husband would go with me when possible... At the softball games, he always joked around especially when my husband was there to egg him on!! I have lots of old videos( 8mm) of him at the softball games telling jokes, joking around to my daughters, they are the same age as his, and my husband asking him to do Rodney Dangerfield!! I have only been backstage a couple of times, one time I had a pass in MS, and didn't get to meet him, but all the other band members were there, he ended up having to leave that time.We were at a cocktail party in Arkansas before he played with the Symphony, but did not get to get a picture with him, just got to mingle, that was pretty cool. I got backstage this past March in CT as the tickets could be bought for a meet and greet included and again last month in Nashville, again, ticket price included a meet and greet. He has been extremely nice everytime I have met him or seen him at all the various places, he always looks at you directly and listens intently when you talk to him... On one of my husband's deployment, I was at a concert in Virginia and gave him a ball cap of the USS George Washington at the concert, the ship my husband was on and later that month actually received a thank you note from him and I have a picture of him as he put it up on the speaker and looked at it then gave me a wink, that was pretty cool...I still don't know if he wrote it or what, but it has his signature on it, so I will believe he did, I had put a card on it which included my name and address!! Anyway, we have run into him at hotel lobbies back in the day,out by the buses, and outside stage doors! It has been great everytime I see him and it has been a great journey over the years, since early 90's!!!!! ...even though I am getting old(er), he makes me feel like a kid everytime I go to a concert!! or run into him no matter where it may be.. I hope for many more....

OH WOW THAT IS SO SWEET AND KIND I'VE JUST BEEN SO AMAZED AT WHAT I HAVE HEARD AND SEEN WITH PICTURES. I JUST HOPE MAYBE I CAN EXPERIENCE JUST ONE OF THE MANY ENJOYMENTS WHICH IS SEEING HIM IN CONCERT. I WOULD HAVE PROBABLY PASSED OUT THOUGH IF I WAS IN ANY OF YOUR SHOES LOL... SO MAYBE JUST FRONT ROW TICKETS IN JAN IS ALL I COULD HANDLE, BUT I BELIEVE ALL OF YOU WHEN YOU SAY HOW NORMAL AND KIND HE IS. IT SO MAKES ME HAPPY TO BE ABLE TO FINALLY GET TO SEE HIM IN PERSON AFTER SOOOOO MANY YEARS OF NOT BEING ABLE TO. iLOVE THE STORIES THANK YOUR FOR SHARING AND MAY YOU GET TO SEE HIM MANY MORE TIMES.
