Polite Plea To Michael

As many have written in other threads throughout this fan site, it is very disappointing to go to your concerts and see basically the same show year after year after year ...  I would be content to watch you sweep the floors and recite the alphabet, but with wonderful new material being recorded, released and then to hear the same opening number, endless Sinatra songs and very few new songs, it leaves me sad when your show has ended.  I save up for a show or two each tour, and often travel a great distance to see you perform.  Many of my friends have declined to accompany me again, as they don't choose to spend their money seeing the same show - especially when they are not as big a fan of yours as I am.  We are always hearing promises of new shows, being told of rehearsals and preparations for new tours,  Maybe we have been spoiled and are expecting too much ...

It seems as though the shows are geared toward new fans, not to the people who love and support you and see you whenever the opportunity arises.

So please Michael, take heart - in with the new and out with some of the old - bring back more of your not often heard classics and always end on an up note, with a rivoting song like "Rock Me Baby" or "Ain't Got Nothin"... it will keep me coming back for more and will convince my friends to get back on the bandwagon again, too!

I still love you dearly after all these years - you're the best in my book, and my criticism is only meant to be constructive, not hurtful.
