I cannot believe it's been 9 years ago today that 9/11 happened here.  I will never forget that day and where I was.  Being sent home early from my State job was a very strange thing and to watch the Twin Towers fall, the fire burn in the Pentagon and then to hear of the 4th plane coming down in a field in Shanksville, PA (later thanks to the brave heros (passengers) that fought to take it down in a rural area...What a truly sad time for this country. Living in the middle of the places these 3 things happened was quite scary for a while that day, not knowing if more planes were going to crash or what was really going on.

Just wanted to remember the people who lost their lives that day. I pray it never happens again!

God Bless the USA!  They cannot take us down!  They just make us stronger as a country!!!!!

Hya Sylvie,

Your beautiful video of the Budwiser advert shows a train of eight horses being shackled to a wagon and they trot across the countryside, through the towns and across a bridge in the snow.

When they get to the site of the Twin towers all of the horses stop and simultaneously, bend one of their front legs backwards and they all bow their heads together.

It really is very, very moving.

I hope this explains the action of the video for you.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Thanks a lot Jen, that was perfect! Glad you liked it, take care and God bless. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada xxx
I was on a train going over the Manhattan Bridge from Brooklny to Manhattan (going to work) when the second plane hit the second building. I saw the whole explosion. I was so shocked I though it wasn't real between the first building already on fire and second one hit. Words can't describe that day.... I kept thinking if that plane hit the bridge instead of the building, I might have died that day. What a nightmare.... Dont' want to think about it.....

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share this little moment in time from 10 years ago. This is a short report on E.T., on the first Yankees game after 9/11. Hope you enjoy it. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

I will never forget September 11.  I was on the train going to work.  The train was crossing the Manhattan Bridge as the first building was burning, and I watched as the second building blew up into flames as the second plane hit.  It was so shocking!!!  I got to work ok, but it was a challeged getting home after.  I was already depressed that week, as my mother a few weeks earlier had surgery for Breast Cancer.  So that really added to my sadness.  Then a month later my dad had a Heart attack and was in the hospital for 3 weeks.  That is a time I will never forget and my payers go out to the victims and their families.....  I can't believe it's been 10 years.....

Hello Helena-- I was very touched and moved to hear your story-- and also read Eileen Parr's story from last year-- those of you who were so close to it!  I can't imagine what that would have been like to see that first hand!

God Bless!

Thanks Mer....   :)

Hi all

I have been away for a few days and was unable to use a computer but believe me I remember the souls that have been lost on the savage attack of 9/11 and was thinking of them and their families.

Love to all

It's been touching reading everyone's stories, poems and comments from last year...  Even though I'd intended to get some other things done yesterday, once I turned on the tv I became horrifically mesmerized by the whole thing all over again.... I watched for hours, every program I could.  My son came into the room after a few hours and said "Are you still watching that??"    yep.  I figured there are so many people who died, so many families who suffered such grievious losses, that the least I could do was stop and take a day to just let my heart go and let the tears flow for them.   Some of the programs were stories of miraculous survivals, too, so it did end the evening on a more encouraging note.

I remember that day as a bit of a bitter sweet one--  my daughter Annie was just 6 weeks old, and early that morning, when I'd first gotten her up, and before I'd turned the tv on, she looked up at me and smiled that first real smile that babies do!  What a JOY!  But, just a few minutes later I turned on the tv -- and OH what SHOCK!!!   Horrible!!   And I'd tuned in just a couple of minutes before the 2nd tower was hit-- so that was practically the first thing I saw before I could even register what was happening--- and then the Pentagon!-- and then Flight 93 in PA!!--- it was like it just wouldn't STOP!   I had begun to think there was going to be hit after hit all across the country all day, and wondered where they would strike here on the west coast-- L.A. of course.  Thank God it didn't go that far, but our hearts here out west sure did leap and stretch and pour out to the east coast that day!

But we did, indeed, become a stronger and more united nation than ever before!   And the outpouring of patriotism hasn't stopped!  And we're so grateful for all the lives that were spared!!  God Bless America!!!
