I’ve been meaning to start this thread for a while now. I’ve been reading since the beginning of this forum, many discussions started by fans who simply wanted to share their joy of being a Michael Bolton fan. We have threads to share concert reviews, some to share news, videos etc, but not exactly what I have in mind. I would like for this thread not to be about meeting Michael, but about MB related moments in our daily lives, that anyone can take part in. I’m sure we all have tons of fun stories about how the existence of our Michael made us smile today.
For example: I remember once working on the computer and being stressed out to finish a job, then I took a break and turned on the radio, SILYBIL was on and I felt like I’d been given a big hug! Also, I remember once reading on one of the old message boards, someone had gone to a thrift shop and found an MB T-shirt and it made her day! Another story of mine has to do with my husband driving with “The one thing” on, stopping at a light and the guy in the next car asked him who that was and said this was great music! Your anecdotes can also be about how you've converted a "non believer" or your child’s discovery of Michael and sometimes we have as many stories as we have kids! Anyway, I guess I’d like this thread to be kind of a Michael Bolton “Vegetable soup for the soul”. :D I have a few stories in my own life like these and even started my own personal document a while back and I thought: why not share our stories together? So there you go MB fans: share away! Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Thanks Sylvia for the suggestion. I had already thought of doing this. I will follow through while in MS and if it happens it happens. The most important thing for me is having a great trip/adventure and listening to Great music.
Hope it all works out for you Deborah and KNOW you will have a fantastic time, at a fantastic concert, with wonderful friends....good luck !!! :)

Hi everyone, it’s been a while since anyone wrote here and I have something to share. For reasons I won’t go into, I’ve been listening to Michael compilations I hadn’t listened to recently, during this past week. A couple of nights ago, I was listening to this one:
There’s nothing special about it, aside from a few favourite “album versions” like WIBOMFA. Anyway, I thought I’d invite you all to listen to either a long tucked away CD or one of the many “best of” compilations we all have, which put in a different arrangement, can bpring back fun memories. Then come back here and share! :D Anyway, it felt to me like visiting an old friend, singing along to all the songs so that was really nice. :D Take care everyone and have a great weekend, thanks for reading. Hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
Hey Kathy, it was just another CD compilation I got for $5, but worth that and more! :D I don't go out of my way to find every compilation, but I stumbled upon it so why not. Take care sweetie and have a great weekend. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
Hi everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve posted here, but I have a little time today. This past week has been a walk through memory lane, triggered by hearing the French version of “Only a woman like you” on one of my Galaxy channels!
Funny enough, it coincided with the 12 year anniversary of meeting my best Bolton buddy Robin R and going to the concert with her at Jones Beach. I remember the concert started with “Love with my eyes closed” and I felt the need to pinch myself that I made it there and it was the beginning of one of the most memorable weekends of my life! I met Robin that weekend, met Michael's brother Orrin and held Michael’s hand for the first time, so nothing but good memories. I just felt the need to share. Thanks for indulging me. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Thanks for sharing with us Sylvie and hope many, many more memories are still to be made, especially in 2015....thanks again !!! :)
Sylvia. Your wee Scottish friend.
You're very welcome Sylvia: only 5 1/2 months to go! ;D Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Thanks a million for posting your story on here too Janette and obviously if you can find other pictures and video clips they, most assuredly, would be more than welcome !!! :) Thanks again for sharing with us !!! :)
Sylvia. Your wee Scottish friend.
Hi again Janette, thank you very much for sharing on this thread. I can’t appreciate your lovely picture because I’m blind, but out of curiosity, is/was your father-in-law an artist or is/was this just a hobby? I’m assuming he must be/have been a fan of Michael’s too, so this picture must be very special to you, aside from the fact that Michael signed it… Anything you’d like to share would be most welcome, especially special memories from the “old days”. If you need help to upload videos, I suggest you browse the “Hints and tips” thread on the “Off topic” section:
The “video” section can be accessed from the main page. I can’t appreciate pictures, but I can certainly appreciate listening to videos, so I do hope you’re able to share some with us. Thanks again for sharing Janette and hope you like it here, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, I wanted to share something I've posted on another thread yesterday. I was going through old MB articles and read one that made me smile yesterday morning and it made me feel like singing. For some reason, the song I got in my head was Michael's birthday song from the "American Greetings" E-cards. So I started singing it to myself as if my name was in the list of name selections, inserting details. When I got to: "You are...", I suddenly wondered what message I would like to recieve from Michael and I came up with something that's not in the list either. I thought it would have been fun if Michael added "You are... my favorite fan today" and just laughed at how perfectly this would fit and sound. I just had to share, so thanks for indulging me. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
