During the apartheid era it wasn't possible for South African TV to play Michael's videos so new videos were filmed using local actors and actresses. Does anybody know how I might get hold of these ?

Hi David and WELCOME to the forum !!! :)    As for your question about videos I'm sorry for I have no answer on those and have never been aware of seeing any.  The only thing I can suggest is a good look through youtube.  We do have a girl on here from South Africa and I will get in touch with her and ask her if she is aware of what you are talking about and if she can help with any suggestions.   Maybe, in the meantime, if someone else has any thoughts on could come in and answer and hopefully throw some light on what it is you are looking for.

Sorry I too have never heard of those videos. I immigrated to South Africa in the early '80's and recall watching MB's actual videos on TV in the mid '80's so it must have been before my time. Should I find out anything I most certainly will let you know.

Than a million for coming in Gail and adding what you know.....thanks !!! :)

We are trying David, we are really trying but unfortunately not getting anywhere !!! LOL   I popped into YouTube and put in different headings but nothing came up so don't know what else you can do apart from maybe, if same TV companies are operative in SA, contact them and ask !!!! :)

I did go onto the South African Broadcasting Corporation website into their listing Archives but had no joy. Will still try to find out and if successful will let you know.

Hi David and welcome to the forum. I've re-read your post a couple of times and I'm wondering if you're looking for South African videos, or Michael Bolton videos, since you haven't seen them. If you're looking for Michael Bolton videos, it should be easy to find. First of all, there is a ton of them on YouTube, but if you're looking to purchase  them, there are DVD's and BHS tapes available from both Amazon and EBay. I've also heard  you can buy videos on ITunes. I'm not familiar with the region code for South Africa, so you'd need to be careful about that, but we could give you a few titles, if DVD's or VHS are what you're looking for. Take care David and let us know when you can. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D
