I'm posting the following for Sandy with her permission here so her friends on the forum can keep her in their prayers:

Hi everyone, I'm here this morning to request the prayers of all my friends. I go to the dr tomorrow to schedule surg. I have a mass on my left ovary that the radiologist says is possible cancer.he says it needs to come out and be biopsied. From that they will stage it and I will decide whether or not to have chemo. I won't be on here much anymore but I will try to keep you posted on my progress. I am trying to get everything in order such as funeral planning, will etc so that my husband will have very little to do. And most of all I am working hard at homeschooling my dtr and getting her through fourth grade before my time comes. I'm sorry to start the week out with sad news, but I really need all the prayers that I can get. Thanks

Hello everyone, just here to catch everybody up re:my surg. I went on Friday and tried to do it laprasopiclly, but it was too big to come ot so they had to make an incision. As he was bring out the cyst on it ruptured and spilled fluids all in my abdominal cavity. He said the mass did not look like cancer but we would have to wait til Wednesday to get path report said. He said that if it was cancer that it would be really bad news because ot the.ruptured cyst, that it would spread it out everywhere in the abdominal cavity, so please keep praying that the path report comes back with good results. Thank you all for your support

Hope obviously everything does work out Sandy but I was of the believe that cancer only spreads throughout the body by way of the lymph nodes and has to go into a blood stream not a cavity so as long as the cyst was separated from your body when it burst wouldn't matter what the contents were as long as no blood vessels were lying open and they had all been cauterized if any had been open prior to it bursting.  Wouldn't be surprised if it is not malignant when it did burst for a lot of times cancerous tumours are pretty tough little sods.   Sure everything will be okay Sandy and that the culture will NOT grow.

Thinking of you and try, try and not worry too much !!!! :)

Hey Sandy, good to read you here sweetie. :D Thanks a lot for the update. I know nothing, but personally, in your shoes, I'd concentrate on the positive things the doc said for now. Thank goodness you'll only have 2 days to wait for results, so why not live those 2 days hopefully? Just a thought. :D Do keep us posted and remember we're with you, okay? Take care Sandy and thanks again for the update. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Q c Canada

To all my fellow Bolton Buddys  I went to MD today  NO CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  the "mass" that showed up on scans was actually a fluid filled fallopian tube. PRAISE THE LORD.  THANK YOU ALL for the prayers and encouraging words. It means so much to me that even though we are only connected by this website, you all have made me feel a part of the MB family.  Best wishes to all of you.
