Hello everyone, My friend and I attended the Pro Am Golf event in Cromwell, CT yesterday.

It was hot as HADES and more humid than anyone can imagine.  We had a great time, despite the heat and humidity. Michael was so generous and kind with his time and attention he gave the fans the entire day.. He was so funny and seem to have a great time being back on the golf course. He said it's been some time since he's been able to play golf.  He's had a crazy schedule with no golf on it lately. He chatted here and there with me as we progressed around the course during the day and with others too that were following his group.  He didn't have his best round of golf but he had some great shots when everything went right.. He is a great golfer.. His foursome had the pro,  a friend of his and also Actor Rob Morrow, he's got the TV show NUMBERS now but I remember him on the TV Program Northern Exposure quite some time ago. He's a very good golfer.. It was nice seeing MB play again and despite the heat and humidity, I did manage to walk the course the  5 hours it took to play( Well all but the one hole we couldn't get to the way the course was layed out-we made a wrong turn-caught him at the next one)..We had an average size group following him and at different holes crowds were sitting in the shade to watch each group play through. MB would stop and sign anything people brought and quickly pose for photos if asked after they played the hole and were moving to the next. He had to keep catching up to his group with doing all that for the fans.. He had to run to catch up also one time due to being interviewed by the media.  He  also walked sometimes close to where we were to catch up..It was a more casual atmosphere than at a concert and it's nice to see Michael relaxed and having a good time, along with all of us in the heat. LOL That was the talk of the day!!!  Ugh!!!  I had some things signed including my copy of the USA release of the new CD, and the card sent by the floral company from the Twitterparty contest where I won the call and also a photo I took of the flower arrangement that was sent. He commented how it was a nice arrangement and how funny it was to him that the one call was me..(A fan that he's known for some time.)  I said I thought it was funny too.  He's got a very busy schedule and I can see he is tired and he's hopefully going to get a break now. He's not slowing down, he said they want more shows and that is great! So I think we will continue to see more shows added to the schedule as time moves forward.  There were quite a few men lined up for autographs from Michael as well, not just women. Some had some older vinyl albums and things like that. He seemed to enjoy seeing those things appear to be signed!!  He was talking about how he loved the countries he's been to recently, he mentioned China and Australia both.  He said to a fan that the people in China know the words to his songs.

I have pictures of Michael and will post some in the gallery over the next day or two.

Michael never disappoints his fans and it's always worth it. Nothing a shower and some good food didn't fix afterwards!!LOL  We had gone to a Pro Am event 7 years ago and watched him play at this same course and we enjoyed it so much that time, we wanted to go again this year.  I always enjoy driving to CT and this trip was a fun time with my good friend and seeing other fans and getting to see Michael play golf for the day. That was worth every ounce of sweat and every step I took around the golf course to do it!!LOL   TPC at River Highlands in Cromwell, CT  is a beautiful course and I enjoyed seeing it again.

Thanks Michael, (We made it to the end!!LOL)

Robin, that's a great review of the golf tournament!! Your pictures in the gallery are great and really looks like he got to relax some!! Well as much as you can playing golf!! I had wanted to come up for it and see my sister at the same time, but could not work it out this time. I am glad you got to go. I love it when he is in a different venue other than a concert where he can interact with his fans and friends. At least ya'll survived the heat, ya'll had good ole southern hot, humid day!! like here in Tennessee!!! LOL!
Kerie
Hey Kerie, Well, we get good ol hot and humid summer weather here in MD too and I stay inside usually. The A/C is my friend most of the summer!!LOL ONLY for Michael would I walk all that in that kind of heat/humidity.. OMG Shame you didn't get to come up for it tho, I could have met you. Darn it, maybe next time. Yes, I enjoy seeing him other than the concert setting too.

Thanks for you kind words on the photos. I had fun taking them. Digital camera's are so fun. Years ago we had film cameras doing this and never knew what we had..I was deleting as I went this time around those that didn't turn out. I'm glad I went despite all that hot weather. Was worth it.

Robin :)
Great photos, Robin! Thanks for sharing them. Yep, nothing like digital cameras...besides being able to delete those that don't turn out so well, you get instant gratification when you get a good shot! I remember waiting around at Walmart to get all those rolls of film developed in hopes of getting just a few good photos! LOL!! And then of course, you had to scan those photos before you could upload them etc. Ah, isn't technology great!

Anna :o)
Thanks Anna! I remember back in the day at concerts same thing, OMG all those rolls of film and not sure what you had. I'd stand at Walmart and ditch the bad ones and only pay for the good ones. They let me do that here for years..They knew me in there doing a lot of MB pics. Yup, I still have a scanner right here too..Did that for a while..It still comes in handy but the most fun is the digital camera. Yes, you can see the good shots right away and share them LOL

Robin :)
