Welcome everyone to the 2014 Tour Review Thread.  The upcoming year is going to be exciting with so many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!! Feel free to share the details of your concert adventures, photos, videos etc.  This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and the MBC Charity Event which will most likely be held later in the year too. Michael has multiple projects in the works so we never know what will happen next!!!! I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2014 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!! 

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

I was hoping Robin would do her report!! I have the worst memory in the world and all I could tell you was that he sang some songs I hadn't heard in a while! Yes, I am that bad. It is so bizarre, that for the last several shows, it has been a coincidence that I had my seats next Robin. But it's nice to know and chat with someone. I had trouble hearing the music with some of the songs, but finally figured out, it was from the woman next to me taking out my ear drum.

What I didn't really care for, was Amanda. She is so darling and an amazing voice, but I think she sang too close to after Kelly singing or something. I just didn't care for her part of the show. I imagine it must have something to do with trying to stretch out that part of the show. Maybe to give Michael a bit of a break? With his having trouble with being ill this tour? I don't know, just a big guess.

After Robin got her drum stick, Drew handed to the girl behind me, I could have easily reached up and grabbed it. Wish I had because he let go of it and it cracked me on the head. Did nothing for the memory, sadly.

I was surprised to see Doug James there. That is out of his driving range, it's a good 3 1/2 hour car ride for him. So I hadn't asked him if he would be there. But he did tell me he and his wife made a last minute decision to go and that they were late for the show. Nicole, his wife said she kept trying to tell him to leave earlier as it was Friday. He is the nicest man, but apparently has typical male traits. lol. I asked him when we are going to see him up on the stage, as he has been working on a CD himself. Michael has been asking him for awhile to perform with him and Doug has always been a behind the scenes guy. But with working on this CD, its possible we may see him with Michael in the future.

Hey Sally!!!!   It's always good to see you and yeah we landed in seats by each other again.:)  Sorry you had that loud gal beside you on the other side of you from us. :(  That is never fun..

I am glad you had a chance to talk to Doug and his wife. I looked at you when MB announced him and thought maybe you knew he was to be there!LOL  That would be very cool if he would be on tour with MB in the future!!! I am happy to have met him the other night.  

I agree it's different with both gals doing medley's.. Some of the songs would be awesome again with MB singing them like Missing You Now.. That one I've always loved..Amanda did a good job with it..  

Ouch I didn't realize the girl behind you got the other stick and it hit you.. :(

I always ask Doug if he's going to a show, but I didn't this time, because it was much further then he usually goes to shows. So it was a nice surprise. They were driving back after their visit with Michael.

Don't get me wrong, I thought Amanda was amazing. I think it was just her singing right after Kelly. It seemed stretched out or something.

I do think that one guard didn't like you. The other guy didn't seem to have a problem with fans going to the stage to have pictures taken. Then after WAMLAW and everyone swarmed the stage, you seemed to be the one he was telling to go away. He didn't bother anyone else. Then he got on his mike and I guess they told him not to worry about it and he just stood there.

I don't know why he wouldn't like me. I didn't do anything anyone else wasn't already doing!! Oh I stood at the stage to see how high it was when I got there..that was my big mistake I guess!!LOL Oh well..it all worked out and the guy was ok after that. Other girls tried to talk to him and he ignored them after we were up there.

It wasn't just you, Robin.  He was at me too.  When we got there we tried looking up over the stage from 3' away and he didn't like it.  So he was after me too, as well as others.  Your review was wonderful.  This was one of the best concerts I've attended.  It was a fantastic night!!!

Hey Sally and Robin.....maybe he was jealous ;). Do not worry about it, Robin, maybe he was just using you as the decoy to get everyone to sit down and he knew he failed. You and the others won out and he just did not like it :(. OH WELL...NO HARM DONE !! :) Hugs,

Thanks Sally for your review and story about Doug.....lovely to hear and glad you had a great concert even if little bits weren't quite to your liking but as I said to Robin format was exactly as he has been doing on all the shows over here.

I WAS THERE ROBIN MD......LOL.....you made me feel like I was anyway as I was smiling all the way here reading your fantastic review, girl !! :)). My goodness what to say first....how sweet about the little girl and MB thinking about the music being too loud for her and that little girl had a very special moment to cherish all of her life....her first MB guitar pic or at least I assume so :)). I laughed at you telling security about the "MB concert rules".....LOL.....good for you and happy you ladies got your moments at the stage :)). Sounds like regardless of jet lag the concert was fabulous. Happy you got some if those special moments with MB and others and the drumsticks. I can just see Drew running those out to you.....LOL....sweet :)). I am with you about MB and that guitar jamming.....that would make a great cd/dvd I think :)). Thanks much for an awesome review and love the photos.....thanks for taking us to the Bethlehem concert, Robin ;). Hugs,
