Welcome everyone to the 2016 Tour Review Thread!   The upcoming year is going to be exciting with many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!!MB has some Canada and USA shows in February and March 2016 and then he heads to the UK in April 2016!!!  This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2016 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Happy Concert Time again in 2016!! Let the year long concert party begin soon!!

I am now confused and a little concerned. Where are the new songs from the upcoming Movie album? Wasn't this tour supposed to be The Movie tour? It appears that the setlist, kindly posted by Markham below, is the same as his last UK tour?

Hi James, yes you're right: it was supposed to be. As I'm sure you're aware, we've had a lot of delays in the past for album releases. Michael had said  back in September that he was HOPING to get it done by the U.K. tour time. Since he had performed "Stand by me" in public in recent months, I thought he might perform  it, but the tour is just beginning, so you never know. We haven't had an update on PledgeMusic in a while, so maybe he's been working hard on completion, at least we hope so. Take care James. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Markham, thanks again for the setlist and the beautiful pictures you posted. I love that jersey and I definitely want one. Lol. I have one from long time ago with Bolton Bombers and number 7 on the back of the jersey, and my special MB mug. Anyone remember that? Thanks again for sharing. Much love.

Michael Bolton Live At The Royal Concert Hall 6th April 2016 Review

Hi all, well here's my review

(note. while I write this I'm not very well today, have a cold on my chest, my own fault for standing outside the rain at the stage door hoping to get pic with MB, I did get a pic with Evan the tour manager which I will post below after this review)

I did go way to early to Nottingham... but that didn't spoil my day even though it was sunshine and showers.. So had a spot of dinner at Wetherspoon (Burger & a Beer). First time I'd had a beer in the months as not been well.. quite refreshing and I rarely go to a pub for a drink... (I brew my own at home... Last patch I made was in February (Loganberry Beer.. Still in my summer house..I'll get to try it one day.. when I feel better)

I arrived at the concert hall at 6.30, couldn’t believe the amount of people there while I waited for the door to open at 7pm. The foyer was packed with ages from 15 – 70, a multitude of people.. to tell you the truth I get anxious around crowds (as suffer from anxiety problems) I thought I did pretty well as first outing socially on my own..

Well the show was ten minutes behind schedule due to technical difficulties, the door opened, and I got seated.. The Atmosphere seemed lively,

Gabrielle came on the stage... about 7.45... performs some classic hits “Rise, Give Me A Little More Time (Which is my favourite Gabrielle song) and “Out Of Reach” from Bridget Jones.. wonderful set, very basic set up. Gabrielle had difficulties with her mic.... The crowd seemed to enjoy themselves, but I found somewhat the atmosphere subdued.....

Michael Came on at 8.45, the crowds applauded when he came on.. singing To Love Somebody, then Dock Of The Bay and then the ultimate “Said I Loved You But I lied” (brilliant!!!) then from when he sang a couple of his favourite songs when was growing up.... (really good so far),

Michael introduced Sam Fry, he dieted with her singing the Adele /Bob Dylan Song “Make You Feel My Love”, and a few more..

Michael told the audience that she was going to do an medley of his songs.

Michael left the stage

Sam sang “thats What Love Is All About” (Which is my favourite Michael song by the way) and an medley songs ending with “When I'm back on My feet Again)... Now this is where am I am going too be biased.. If anyone disagrees with me, that is fine.... I came to see Michael Bolton perform his song himself, Not to have someone sing his songs... although her voice was good, I felt a bit cheated and I think some of the audience was.... but who am I to argue.

Jp's solo sax, the guitarist, bassist, drummer, lead guitar in top form.... I have to say Ashley the vocalist did a brilliant job in background vocals..

Michael came back out, this time in the audience singing When a man loves a woman.. great to see... all the women wanting to touch him... (no wasn't tempted), then he sang How can we be lovers and the ultimate Time, Love And Tenderness.... he said goodnight... then came back on as the audience on their feet wanting more.... as the encore “Georgia On My Mind”.. the band did a line up bow...

Yes I feel so what let down by the medley sang by Sam, Michael should have sang them... other things I got annoyed about, because behind me. An couple were wow ing and shouting when Michael was talking, whether or not they were drunk or not!!!and the other complaint is trying to watch the show is while Michael was singing.. people five rows down from me going to the toilet or going to get a drink or M & Ms, making everyone stand up in that row, why cant they go to before the show started.. That’s my review... hopefully next year Michael will come singing all his songs by himself... I hope this doesn't dampen anyone spirits for the concerts ahead... Markham

Great review, thanks Markham.

So disappointing to hear same as last year and Michael allowing others to sing his best songs.I was really annoyed about last tour so held off getting tickets until after first concert this year. I have been a massive fan since the 80's and am so dissapointed I wont be going now this year. Its the first tour I have missed. It cost me over £100 last year and I too felt cheated.

Please Michael listen to your fans. So many amazing songs but same old same old,

Thanks for your review Markham.

I hope he gets the cd wrapped up and he puts new songs in the show.. MB is a perfectionist. It will be worth the wait!! Sorry you had some rude people seated near you.

Good review, agree with so many comments, especially about Michael singing himself!!

Hi Markham, thanks very much for your review. I’m glad for you that you’re also a fan of Gabrielle, because too often, we’re not fans of opening acts. I’m just glad that overall, you enjoyed the show and you did get to hear some of your favorites. Thanks again for sharing Markham, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

P.S.: Thanks for the heads up about the merch table and your CD's.  :D
