Welcome everyone to the 2016 Tour Review Thread!   The upcoming year is going to be exciting with many concerts scheduled already around the globe!!!MB has some Canada and USA shows in February and March 2016 and then he heads to the UK in April 2016!!!  This is the best time to be a Bolton fan with so many concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2016 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Happy Concert Time again in 2016!! Let the year long concert party begin soon!!

How about worn jeans and a white t-shirt? Oh yes...lol A very relaxed look ;) On my way to Coachella! Should I stop by and pick up a blue vest for MB???? Lol

LOL Sounds good Kathy! :)

Robin in MD :)

Oh my goodness Robin I am going through a gazillion photos to find all old LAFD photos for a vid Ryan is making for Bob's official retirement on next Saturday and I have come across some GORGEOUS photos of MB in a white tshirt and worn jeans. Also going thorough my old dvd tapes looking for news clips that Bob was in for the LAFD and I cam across tons of MB recordings. On one in  particular was when MB was on Regis and Kelly Show and he was wearing a beautiful brown leather suit coat with a white scarf, black tshirt and worn jeans!! Oh my...he NEEDS to get back the the worn jeans...not the torn ones...just well worn with white shirts!!! LOL Hopefully he reads a little tidbit on here about a new wardrobe for his next tour ;) Just my 2 cents ;)

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Hello my Bolton Buddies!!! O M Gosh I am running on EMPTY!!!! I shall write a quick review as I did manage to get tix to tonights show in Palm Desert or somewhere!!! LOL So after a 10 hour round trip drive yesterday and Thursday we are off for a 6 hour round trip drive today and tomorrow!! That of course is following my Uk trip with a 10 hour flight!! I have lost my mind clearly...lol Anyway...this will be my record breaking shortest review!!! lol

                                                                                                         Modesto, California

                                                                                                             Gallo Center

                                                                                                              May 6 2016

I couldn't believe we were packing a suitcase again for we haven't even unpacked suit cases from our UK trip!! Fortunately I already had outfits arranged from my UK concerts so I threw them in the washer and dryer and off we went! I truly was very happy to see Michael in a venue that wasn't a casino!! The Gallo Center is beautiful and a smaller and cozy sized venue as compared to the huge RAH for example. We arrived early so we sat in the lobby and enjoyed some coffee. The venue staff were as sweet as could be. A very comfy environment and I HOPE Michael books here again!!! It was very lovely!!

I was thrilled there was no opening act ;) I admit I enjoy just seeing only Michael...lol I am a good fan and am polite if he has an opening act BUT I truly enjoy just watching and hearing him onstage...and his band singers also of course :) The concert started with the manager of the venue speaking first and stating that MB had been there in 2001 I believe BUT that he had to cancel at that time. Well.....she said she got a call from MB's people tonight and she jokingly stated that PTSD started to kick in for she thought there might be another cancel. I started to think so also but she said that he had some weather issues flying out of LA. I laughed to myself and said....sounds more like Bolton Time to me!! lol Sorry MB!! ;) The concert started about 20 or so minutes late...I think ;) While waiting for the concert to start a venue employee held up a LARGE sign that read...NO PHOTOGRAPHY. Well....who EVER heard of that?!?!?!?! I though I will just wait for MB to take the stage and HE will fix that sign!!! ANd of course he gave his ok for photos!! Thanks Michael for CONTINUING to make that announcement because venues have issues with photo taking to this day!!! It makes NO sense and it drives us fans crazy!!!!

Michael was great with his opening song and I could hardly believe that I had just seen him a week ago in the UK. He looked rested and ready to roll...but then...Ryan's guitar amplifier stopped working. Well I couldn't tell because they had just started and were just 1 song into the concert. So the head engineer I believe...not Evan but the other fellow who is always buzzing about the stage and checks all the guitars etc. Well he is on the floor pushing buttons and moving wires all about to NO avail....so Michael decides to do some stand up!! Too funny. Michael said this has never happened in all the years of playing concerts. There are minor issues but this guitar issue wasn't going away. MB tells the crowd that the fellow trying to fix the issue isn't really a musician but a veterinarian who offered his services!!! The audience roared!! THEN he said Ryan isn't really a guitarist but a fellow colleague veterinarian of the first fellow!! OMG...more laughter. Now had my mind been on all cylinders I would have yelled out..."Do Rodney"!! What a missed opportunity!! ;) Oh well....thats jet lag for you. Michael then talked about being jet lagged himself and spoke about his early years for a bit of time while HOPING the problem was being fixed. Poor Ryan!! I was in front row and never saw a signal that said all was well but after a good amount of time MB just started with the next song while the engineer/veterinarian was still working on the floor. Michael is the ultimate showman and he realized that the show must go on and so it did and the band followed his lead. I assumed it was fixed because the engineer eventually left. That is my first time of experiencing such a difficult issue to fix with the equipment. Michael continued on hitting every note and singing beautifully. He sang the same variety of songs which we all love :) Nessun Dorma was beautiful and he got a standing ovation and then I walked up and gave him some flowers. Much to my delight he blew me a kiss and I of course blew one back ;) I couldn't be so rude as to not to!!! lol There was yelling from the audience through out the concert and MB encouraged the same. His duets were beautiful with Sam and I LOVE their Prayer duet as did the audience!! I finally got Sam's attention (Bob helped with calling out her name in a very noisy venue) to give her flowers and pass on flowers to Ashley and Ruki. Ashley and Sam then came back out after the final bow and thanked me for the flowers which was very sweet of them :) And that concludes my review for last night!!! I have to go pack now for Palm Springs!! Catch you all later!! Hopefully I will remember to tweet a shout out before the show :) And yes I will try to get ALL my photos posted on the forum!!

Thanks again Michael for a fun show with wonderful music and your great voice!!!

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Thanks for your review Kathy. One time we had a show in the last year or so where there was a cracking and popping sound and it was loud. MB made jokes out of if as the crew scrambled to get it fixed. They eventually did too.  OH geez..Poor MB and Ryan and the crew. Jet lag took it's toll on the equipment maybe too! LOL

I am glad went well in the end and you had a nice time.. Did he do any new songs?

I am sorry this is short I have a relative in the hospital in Baltimore right now and a sick husband on top of it so you made me smile today!   I am happy that all went well.

Have fun at the show tonight too.  I am counting down till my shows end of June/early July..that's what is keeping me going right now and reading the fun reviews here.

Thanks a bunch for sharing!!

Robin in MD :)

Thanks for a HILARIOUS review Kathy and how hysterical of Michael to start calling him a vet, OMG talk about a great entertainer and guy full of fun, he sure is !!! :)   Just love it, show going to pieces but tell a joke.....gets you through every time !!! lol

Fellow you are talking about might be either Ian or Gary .... think, but not 100% sure, Ian is one who takes to do with musical instruments and Gary is on microphones and lights but mind you there is a Gregg too so, have a guess what, take your pick.  As they say in the army, turn right and fall out and with any luck you just might get LOST again, especially being led by me !!!! LOL  His name is probably Cornelius or Montague !!! LOL

Have a super time tonight and safe, safe travels and to anyone else going to show tonight have a great time too ..... that includes you Robin R for believe you are going so have a super time and remember a review, please !!! :)
