Welcome everyone to the 2017 Tour Review Thread!   The upcoming year is going to be exciting with concerts scheduled already for 2017!!  MB has some USA shows starting off the year in January and more shows through early April so far and I’m sure many more to come around the globe as the year unfolds!  Also exciting for 2017 is the February 10th release of Songs of Cinema and I am betting a few more songs from the CD will make it in the tour setlist!  Woo Hoo!  This is the best time to be a fan with MB’s concerts and we may have a Michael Bolton Charities event later in the year, we never know. Michael has multiple projects in the works and he is good at keeping us guessing. I appreciate the opportunity to start a new thread once again for 2017 to give us all a place to share the best part of being a fan--- experiencing Michael in person doing what he does best-SING!!!!!!

I am looking forward to another fun year of posts and sharing great times by the best Michael Bolton fans in the world on this forum. I will post events to keep the thread moving along as the concerts come up as I have in the past.

Let the year long concert party begin and I wish concerts for all of you in 2017!! I know many fans are on other social media sites but I do hope we can continue with the exciting tour reviews here in 2017!  You all make the thread fun.

Happy Concert Time again in 2017!!

As I've said before, I am a bit "out of the loop". I've never had the opportunity to go to the Galas before & meet all you like-minded ladies .
So I'm wondering, do they even do them any more? if so, do you know when the next one will be? Sounds like it would be AMAZING.!

HI Paula, They do not do the gala's like years ago in CT anymore. I wish, we did them for years and had a blast.  MB Charities just had an event in the Hampton's on Long Island for his charity.  I attended one of those years ago and it was wonderful.  We used to make the trip every year in CT when he had a softball game, tennis and the dinner and concert in the very beginning and then later he started to do Golf and the softball game and then later it was just golf and the dinner/concert event.  It evolved over time.  There used to be a big fan reception each year also when we all got together and did auctions and had food and got together and raised money for the charity.  MB's mother, sometimes Orrin his older brother,  and other family members and the band would attend.  Fun times!!

They had some charity events out west in recent years too.  Each year the Michael Bolton Charities website puts out information and its usually posted over here too when these events come up.   It is an amazing time and I've met Bolton fans around the world.

I hope you get to attend an event in the future.

Robin in MD :)

Me too! Sounds great! Thanks for the info, Robin!

Ladies, please let me know if there's a get together. I'd love to meet all of you!

If I'm repeating, please forgive me. I don't know if my comment went through but I called out to Michael & he said "Yes" so sexy but anyway, I forgot a lot of what I said but he asked me how many shows & I said "500" because you know how he loves numbers. It was all in fun. Of course, it hasn't been 500 shows. I honestly don't know how many concerts I've been to but it was fun. He said he couldn't see me but where he sits originally throughout the show, I was in the 3rd section, 3rd row, seat 35 on the aisle & my dear friend Elaine got to sit with me. Just had to share. :)

Hello MB fans...well before more time gets away from me I had better pop in here with my review...

                                                                                          Cannery Casino

                                                                                          Las Vegas, Nevada

                                                                                          September 3 2017

My goodness it was so HOT in Vegas for this concert with the temperature hovering around 106 degrees for the few days we were there!! Unfortunately at home it was also so darn hot but I suppose that was a good preparation for Vegas :/  At this point I am over the heat!! Speaking of hot though...Michael Bolton was fantastic ;) I saw fans blowing on the stage for the first time...lol The Cannery is one of 2 of my favorites to see MB in concert. The stage height is great and the security are very cordial !! Two very important factors for fans to have a great time!! No physical barriers that make you feel like you are at a prison concert...lol...or rude security that confiscate cameras to make sure you delete vids!! Yes folks this really happens. I am too old for such nonsense so when Michael plays at a welcoming and comfortable venue it makes for a sweet relaxing and fun time for everyone :)

Bob and I checked in and chilled for about 2 hours before we met up with Ann Yale and her sweet hubby Graham on Sunday to reunite after the Royal Albert Hall concert in London last year. Note to self...stop arriving at a locale on the day of a concert. Too tiring!! I actually had an extra ticket as I had actually FORGOT to buy tix on the first day of the sale so I was about 30 minutes late buying my tix!!! Yipes...so I bought a pair together and then a solo seat in a different spot to determine my best view once I arrived at the venue. Yes Bolton fans...we must all be prepared...lol And then of course life has it all planned out ahead of time...you just show up. Well....Graham did not have a tix....soooo....guess who went to his first MB concert? Yep....Graham celebrated his virgin MB concert in HOT Las Vegas!! Like they say....what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!!! LOL First things first and that was to check out our views in all the different seats! Ann and I used the pair of tix in second row in front and 2 seats over from Robin and Elaine. Our hubibies sat in the extra seat and Ann's original seat. After that important task was complete it was time to chat with the BB's that were also milling about :) Bob and I shared hugs and chatted with Lyn Arnold, Leesa Gamble, Elaine and Robin and there were a couple more fans that I didn't get a chance to meet. One was Kim Slater and Paula who also posted a review.  Hopefully next time. I introduced Ann to some fans and others seemed to find her in all the mingling. We arrived a bit later than usual as we were too busy chatting at an early dinner before the show so our pre concert time was a bit shorter. I still managed to see a couple of the crew scurrying about. Evan walked by and we chatted and I introduced Ann to him. Also Holly happened to walk by my seat and I said hi to her and as we shared a hug I started to say my name but she waved me off and said I know who you are :) I often wonder if she remembers the time I saved her and Taryn from an obnoxious drunk woman at the Greek Theatre in Hollywood when they were about 13-14 years old? Ahhh...so many memories! Anyway....back to HOT Vegas! lol I am pretty sure Ann was with me and met Holly also!! So much was going on! Milo buzzed by and I said hi. And then the lights went down.....

The music started and the screaming followed behind!! It was amazing that folks still had energy in the heat! Michael sang his intro song and then chatted some with the audience as he did all night. When he started the second song Ann sprung out of her chair to dance and then she looked at me with astonishment as I was still sitting in my seat. Lol...she thought the crowd would stand up immediately and dance like they do in the UK!! Other countries do a lot more dancing than here in the States....unfortunately. I would LOVE to be able to dance to each of Michael's songs but I explained to her that we would have to wait until we got to the stage to be able to dance. She was sooo disappointed and I told her the crowd behind her would be complaining if she stood dancing. So we chair danced as I always do!! MB had fun chatting with the crowd. Robin yelled out Hi to Michael and he answered her. She said her name and then MB asked her how many concerts she had been to and her answer was great!! She said 500! That stumped him for a moment!! lol Well...who is counting right? You might as well go for the whole enchilada as we say!! lol Great job Robin!! I know I have lost count but just continue to have a fun time no matter how many concerts we all get the opportunity to attend. Some have a very few and cherished concerts and others have had 500!! All good fun!! Michael sang his current setlist and it was a rocking concert with..I've Got A Woman, Good Time Rock and Roll, Steele Bars, Sweet Home Chicago etc. MB's duets with Sam were also wonderful :) And of course WAMLAW....and I was ready to bolt toward the stage. Ann was so cute...I guess she was intimidated with the audience sitting so she was hesitant to get us going out of our aisle as we were 2 seats in. Now the audience is finally standing so I give Ann the signal but she says you start...lol So I go around her and tap the next person and said excuse me and they let us by. Finally we get to dance and Ann is quite happy!! We get a great spot and so does Elaine and Robin :) We are all standing next to each other at the center of the stage and ready to rock out!! Now the fun starts!! I did gorget to mention a very drunk woman sitting in front of us that of course wouldn't stop screaming...ugh...a regular occurrence when alcohol is served :/ Ann and I laughed saying we hope the band and Michael didn't think it was us!! But I do think JP and MB were trying to avoid her as they stayed a bit farther away on the stage. She even came right up to the stage when Sam first came out and yelled out to Sam. It was a bit unnerving! Thankfully she wasn't near us at the stage!! Michael covered the entire stage. He sees Robin at the stage and shakes her hand but doesn't let go...he then bends down quite far to kiss her hand!! WOOHOO!! You go Robin and MB always tries his best to find you at the stage!! Or even in the front row when the stage is very close like when we were at the Segrestrom Theatre concert and I told you he was coming for your hand and you got a hand kiss then!! You go girl...Michael is the best :))) And then Ann has the perfect moment to give MB her gift and he takes it with a smile and says thank you. You have to move fast because these moments go by so fast!! Later in the night I manage to get a wink and a handshake!! Made my night!! I then tried to pull Ann's hand out for MB to shake as she wore flats so it made her too short at the stage!! She was barely able to hand MB her gift! Funny how life works because a sweet lady named Stacey actually took vids of both of our special moments!! She captured the moment of Robin's hand kiss...Ann giving MB his gift...and me shaking Michael's hand and pulling off Ann's arm!!! Sorry Ann...I was on a mission!! Note to self Ann....no flats when the possibility of going to the stage is on the agenda! It was so HOT and Ann wanted to wear comfy shoes :) And we danced some more and before you knew the music stopped....ahhhhh...please don't stop!!! They took their bow and Ashley and Sam were so sweet to send me kisses and I finally got it on a vid :) I actually am enjoying short vids instead of all the pics. Michael should ask the crowd how many concert pics of him we have!!! Omg....too many pics that is how many!! lol It is all great fun :))) Now the lights are back on....

The concert now becomes the most recent MB Adventure memory :) It was so much fun to be attending with Ann all the way from the UK. I certainly knows how that feels after seeing MB in Scotland and the UK. So much fun and our Vegas mini trip with Ann and Graham has just started. We all mingle about for a bit. Ann and I make sure we find someone who can get our remaining gifts to their recipients. we succeed and our mission is accomplished :) We chat with Jason and Evan. Most of the band did not come out on the stage after the concert as MB had some family visiting and they all were enjoying their visit. We had a fun chat with Drew. It was sooo hot and the band was melting by the end of the night...including Drew! Oh yes...I almost forgot...Leesa got a drum stick from Drew at the end of the concert and Ann and I got the song list! Everyone had a great time indeed!! Bob and I wanted to show Ann and Graham tthe Fremont Street Experience at night in downtown Vegas so we didn't mingle too long after the show. That was quite the experience!! LOL Thanks again Michael for being so sweet to all of us fans concert after concert!! And thank you Ann for sharing a couple days of your Vegas vacation with Bob and I :)))) Lots of great memories....lots of wonderful memories!! :)) SO as I always say....here's to my next Bolton Adventure!! And to all you fans who are already booked for your next concert...ENJOY!!  'Til next time....

Kathy and LAFD Bob

Thanks for another fun review Kathy. I can picture you all there at the show and all the fun!! I did see your videos on FB and they bring back my own memories.. Yes indeed! So glad all of you had an amazing time in Vegas...I know none of you will ever forget it!!

MB and the band and crew are the best!!!!   If I ever counted how many concert pics it would be way too many in the end to keep counting! ROFL  I tell you.. But I enjoy taking them.. It's all part of the fun, pics  and vids etc.

Till the next adventure for sure!!

Robin in MD :)

The next show on MB's tour is later this week at Niswonger Performing Arts Center Greeneville, TN on September 14, 2017.

I wish all the fans a fantastic time and hopefully any remnants of Irma will be gone by then in TN.

Have a blast!

Robin in MD :)

Oh! Kathy LAFD!!!!!!! What an awesome review. I felt like I was back there again. So, MB kissing my hand got on someone's video?????? Wow! Yeah, we held each other's hands TIGHT!!!!!!!!! The concert must have been back in my sub conscious there because I dreamed I was at another concert & afterwards, Michael was guiding my sister & me somewhere. Imagine that? Holding on to his arm & taking me somewhere? Where? Hmm. Don't know because, I, unfortunately woke up. :( Anyway, to those going to the show on the 14th, have an awesome time & bring back reviews.

Hi Robin...the actual kiss is not on video because of all the gals close at the stage. The vid was shot from further back in the venue so all the "heads" standing at the stage block it! But it is the same vid where MB takes Ann's gift for him from her :) Like i said they were quick moments because Michael is still performing!! Somehow he always arranges to make a connection with his fans!! Bless him!! Glad I brought back some memories for ya and you enjoyed my review :)
