You have resurrected an old one Sylvie but funnily enough I never got e-mail notification that either you nor tomek kot had been in here; I only saw it on the main page that tomek kot had been in; now whether in 2010 I had come in and looked at thread and hadn't requested to follow at that time, I can't remember but I didn't get any notification this time and as I have said before I believe this website should be an opt-out one not opt-in as it is because if you don't know to request a follow or you don't leave a comment you never see thread again unless you keep going in to check if anything added and we could have plenty of new members who come in and look at threads and go out without doing either and they will never see any notifications about threads and I believe that is wrong: obviously JMO and I am just taking opportunity to state again !!
On films I have to agree with tomek kot because Robert de Niro is my favourite along with Richard Gere, Barbra Streisand, Clint Eastwood and Burt Reynolds....so any films with them in I will watch again and again and again and again especially "Taxi", "Meet The Fokers", "An Officer And A Gentleman" and "Funny Girl". Haven't watched a lot of films in recent years so probably a lot of darn good ones out there now and who knows, maybe one day, I'll feel like catching up !! :)

Hey Sylvia, well unless you would have clicked on “follow”, you wouldn’t have gotten a notification for new posts. Well, in 2010, the idea of opting out instead of opting in would have been a great one, but with the amount of threads there are now, yikes! :D I’ve mentioned to the admin once that this forum should come with instructions but nothing happened. When I first joined, I checked absolutely everything and took the time to “follow”the ones I wanted. Maybe they figure if you don’t have time to browse the threads, you don’t have time to reply, I don’t know, but I agree. Back to the subject at hand, So can you at least figure one fave movie from each fave actor/tress? I’m watching more and more Barbra Streisand movies, (just recently “Mirror has 2 faces” that I loved) but my favourite from her will always be “Hello Dolly”. It’s one of my top 5 feel-good movies. :D Now going back to the initial reason I’ve revived the thread: do you have a guilty pleasure, silly or corny or obscure one? I’d be curious to know. Well anyway, thanks for sharing Sylvia, take care and have a great day. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Took me a few days Sylvie to even find the forum when I joined and a good few after that to know what to do to keep following threads and at times I just wonder how many other people are like that because I do not believe I am unique !!
Thought the thread was just to do with what your favourite movie was but if you want to follow along the lines of "guilty pleasures" Sylvie unfortunately I can't add to this thread because to be perfectly honest I have never truly understood that expression except when applying it to food because I will eat another bar of chocolate when I know I should be on a diet so I consider that a guilty pleasure but must be honest and say I can't really apply it to much else !! lol. The only bit of "foolishness" I have with regard to films is that I absolutely adore "The Graduate" and I must have watched that at least 200 times and I know I will watch it again because if ever it is shown on the telly I do not miss it and pretty sure it will come on again !!
Hope somemore come into the thread and have more "guilty pleasures" to share than I have for that for sure is my one and only contribution to it !!! LOL

Hey Sylvia, well here’s your answer: according to Wikipedia,
“A guilty pleasure is something one enjoys and considers pleasurable despite feeling guilt for enjoying it. The "guilt" involved is sometimes simply fear of others discovering one's lowbrow or otherwise embarrassing tastes, such as campy styles of entertainment. Fashion, video games, music, films, and junk food can be examples of guilty pleasures.”
But then again, one person’s campy or corny is another person’s cool, know what I mean? Cult movies like “Xanadu” enter in that category, I suppose. So there you go. Well I guess a movie you’ve watched that many times can be considered as a guilty pleasure too, mine is “Grease”. :D Take care Sylvia and thanks for sharing. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Great Film The Graduate starring Dustin hoffman and Ann Bancroft.. a Must!!!
Hi Tomek and thanks for coming to this thread. So you like vampire movies? I was a big fan in my teen years too, but not any more. Robert De Niro is a great actor, but I’ve only watched a few of his movies. Do you have a favourite Robert De Niro movie? Just curious. Well anyway, thanks for sharing Tomek, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Can't remember if I answered this, but for me, James Bond films, epics, some romantic comedies and action films. If I had to pick one, though, it would be "Skyfall". To me, the best of all the Bond films so far.

Its a wonderful life (1946) and yes 70 years old this year the film is (NOT ME!!).
Hi again Markham, “The graduate” is on my watch list, along with several other Dustin Hoffman movies. Wow, I had to check your link for "It's a wonderful life", because I thought 1946 was a typo, unbelievable! Thanks for sharing Markham, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
