Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to reply for a few days to your link Sylvie ... that brings back memories, although not many! lol I do remember my Mum and my sister listening to Hey Girl, along with so many others I found on Youtube. Okay, I was scanning through and kept finding various Artists I wanted to post a link to but I've finally settled on this one because I bought the Album when it first came out, loved this particular song then and it's remained one of my firm favourites. Sylvie, you may be able to guess why :D It's The Faces singing Ooh La La ...
I'm also including Rod Stewart's version too. I'm not as keen on it (even though I'm a Rod Stewart fan!).
Hope you enjoy at least one of them. By the way, if I post a link to a song I've already mentioned previously, apologies.
Hugs from di xxx

Hey Diane, thanks for sharing both versions of this sweetie. I love this song, but I wish I could merge the Faces music with Rod’s voice. :D I was checking through the suggestions on Rod’s page, going: ooh, I love this song, ooh I love this song! Lol Wait a minute now, you said “Hey girl” instead of “Hey there lonely girl” and that brought me another song to mind. It’s the song “Hey girl” by the Righteous Brothers:

Man I love this song! But as much as I love their 60’s stuff, my favourite of theirs is “Rock and roll heaven”:

I remember loving this song as a little girl, even before I could understand all the lyrics... Oh and this one from the same album called “Dream on”:

They just had such a great sound... Hey Diane, since you’re such a big Rod fan, could you tell me what’s your favourite song from him? Just wondering. I enjoy some of his early stuff, much of his 80’s stuff and his soul covers. I think my favourite is “I was only joking” though:

Wow, isn’t it easy to get lost on YouTube? Lol All right Diane, I think it’ll be enough for one sitting. :D Thanks for the memories girl! Take good care of yourself sweetie and don’t be a stranger. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hey Kathy, your O and my hubby would have been good buddies: we have many RB CD's, LP's and DVD's and probably all of Bill Medley's albums! Did you know that our Michael wrote 2 songs for Bill Medley? The 2 songs are "Please come home" that his brother Orrin recorded also and "I need you in my life", on the same album, if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, Bill stays mostly on the West Coast so we haven't had the pleasure to attend a concert. He and Bobby were a riot on stage though! Well glad you enjoyed the music Kathy and feel free to share your own choices and it's okay if you can't transfer the link: I like a challenge! :D Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Sylvie and Kathy,
I just lost my post ... I don't know why - perhaps because of the songs I was suggesting! lol
Have to get something to eat now because I've been lost in the world of Youtube for hours, but yes Sylvie, if I had to pick an absolute favourite of Rod's it would be I Was Only Joking too :D
Look what I found whilst I was there http://youtu.be/DACYNIRcNRU
Plus ,my all-time favourite video http://youtu.be/SvbFsdWJLuo
Btw Kathy, I usually restrict myself to here because it's out of the way and I tend to ramble a lot! Sylvie's trying to educate me, musically, and I'm learning slowly. Loved Dream On and never heard of it before so thank you Sylvie :D
Ooh, before I go I wanted to post Lady In Red, whenever I hear it I just love how incredibly romantic it is - although I'm guessing it's one of those you either love or hate.
And in complete contrast I Would Do Anything For Love ...
I've never seen the video before and only ever heard clips of the actual song, probably because it's so long. But I thoroughly enjoyed it so I'll leave you with that whilst I try and save whatever didn't burn in the cooker! lol
Take care,

Hey Diane, Ahh thanks for “Need you to fall”, that hit the spot, I love that song! :D Now was that the official video for “Can I touch you there”? I hear it’s a lot of people’s favourite... ;D Diane, you’re a doll but I personally think you don’t ramble at all... :D You’re very welcome for “Dream on”, glad you enjoyed it. I do love “Lady in red”, no matter how cheesy some people think it is. Girl, I once heard Chris De Burgh sing it in French on the radio live, down to the whispered “Je t’aime” at the end! “Anything for love” is a très cool Jim Steinman song but my favourite is this one called “Rock and roll dreams come through”:

I know Meatloaf did a cover of it, but I prefer the original. That’s the kind of song I can play 18 times in a row, sing it every time and not get sick of it! :D BTW Diane, lol I wouldn’t say I’m trying to educate you but I thoroughly enjoy that you think I am! Lol Incidentally, cool we have the same Rod favourite. : ) Thank you very much for sharing, you’re a lot of fun to read Diane, take care and hope your food didn’t burn. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hey Kathy, "I finally found someone" was sung by Barbra and Bryan Adams sweetie.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tK4peuAODtc
Bryan Adams is one of the very few Canadian artists I buy and my sister is crazy about him. Oh, sounds like a very nice couple's song... :D Kathy, may I ask which browser or internet service you use on your phone? It doesn't seem to agree with many links, does it? That's a shame. I frankly don't know what I'd do if I couldn't access YouTube... I was browsing earlier today and by accident, I fell upon a song called: "It takes two to tango" by Ray Charles and Aretha Franklin:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZL4fl-F2FxU
and someone commented that this is what YouTube was about: sharing gems you couldn’t find anywhere else... Well anyway, good luck with my links sweetie, take care. Big bear hugs to you, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi again Kathy, my husband often makes the same mistake but on the song “All for love” with Sting, Rod and Bryan. They do have similar voices. :D Take care sweetie. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hey Kathy, thanks for the image and the mental vacation... :D Take care and have a great day at work. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada :D
