Thanks Sylvie for the video. But again an old problem! The video is not enabled in Germany. I have only found a little video of Jason. It is just 1 minute and poor quality! However, thank you and have a wonderful day!
Petra (Germany)
Hallo again Petra, try this one:

It was recorded in Düsseldorf, so hopefully, you can listen! :D Good luck sweetie and take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, I want to post something a little different today. I was browsing my local library's web site and came across a CD of jazz trumpet player Chris Botti's called "Italia" and decided to borrow it. I thought that with a title like "Italia", I couldn't go wrong and indeed, I didn't go wrong! Here is Chris Botti's version of "Nessun dorma":

It's different, softer, with a quiet dignity about it, I love it! I can't say I'm a huge jazz instrumentalist fan in general, but I could definitely get into that CD. Anyway, hope you enjoy. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, I’d like to share a song I’ve just discovered today, thanks to Bryan Adams. I just found out he’ll be releasing a new album on September 30th called “Tracks of my years”, clever title for a covers album. :D The last song on this CD and the only one I didn't know, will be a Jimmy Cliff song called “Many rivers to cross”:

I love the organ and it kind of reminds me of “Brown-eyed woman”, that I know from Bill Medley:

I’m not sure if he originated it, but love it by him! I remember a while back, Marc Friedland had mentioned in the Follow-up info for the “history enthusiast” thread, that our Michael had recorded this with Joy in ’70 or ‘71, can you imagine?... XD Hope you enjoy! Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, I’d like to share a song I heard on TV yesterday, Sam Smith « Lay me down »:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s5SC1Pqzl4c
According to Wikipedia, he’s a 22 year old British R&B singer and his first album “In the lonely hour” was released last May. The song is terrific and I guess what attracted me to it is that his tone is very similar to the lead singer’s of Boys II Men. His style, for this song anyway, seems to be following in the old school tradition. Hope you enjoy! Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, here’s something interesting I stumbled upon on YouTube, the Rolling Stones singing “Like a rolling stone”:

I don’t know, it’s something you don’t hear every day... :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi all, I have a fun and completely different suggestion today. I came across this fun video on YouTube, “Cello wars” by the Piano Guys:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgAlQuqzl8o
lol They’re a musical ensemble who seem to mix and match pop tunes with classical pieces and their videos score in the millions of views. They’ve just released a new album called “Wonders” 3 weeks ago. I thought it would be fun, hope you enjoy it. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi Christian, can't argue with that! Thanks for sharing sweetie, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
Hi everyone, I have to share this song my daughter just sent me, it’s Garth Brooks in performance on the "Ellen” show singing “Mom”:

I’m sure she felt it has a whole new meaning for her now... Hope you enjoy! Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie QcCanada:D
My musical tastes have changed in the last year. I'm still a fan of smooth jazz.
For the last 25 years, I've been listening to a singer that most don't really like, but I've enjoyed. I don't talk about him much because when most look at him, they don't think he can carry a tune. His music is different, but amazing. One of his songs "Only the Moment" has been my mantra ever since I first listened to him in 1989. Last year, I decided to let the world know just how much his music has meant to me by talking about him. His name is Marc Almond and he is the one that was part of the Soft Cell Tainted Love one hit wonder, but his solo records are different from Soft Cell and are just wonderful to listen to. My favorite CD of his is Fantastic Star. The song I've been listening to for a while is "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places." Just beautiful.
Till next time,
Audrey (aka the quiet one)
Hi Quiet One, long time no see! Well if musicality could be judged by looks, we wouldn’t have use for the radio, now would we? :D I’ve just checked out “Only the moment and recognized Marc’s tone right away. I approve the theme of the song:

...wich is basically “Carpe diem”. I checked if “Looking for love...” was the old one I knew from Johnny Lee and of course, it’s not, but I did like the effect on the guitar. You often have unusual but interesting choices Audrey, thanks for sharing. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
