The wasp didn't have a sting. It was a velvet wasp. Each morning it would fly into the garden, from fruit to fruit. It liked the pests it found there, and there were many of them. One day a human came along, and he disturbed it. The wasp alighted on the human for a moment. The human, agitated, smacked at it, thinking the wasp was harmful. However, the wasp escaped. It hid in the fruit garden until the next morning. Assured that the human was gone, it went from fruit to fruit, filling on the pests.
