Personaly for my Vengeance pally/Hexblade i did 3 Paladin and then from there Hexblade, the character is currently lvl12. Character also has the Gauntlets of Ogre power( well a modified and homebrewed version of it, since our campaign is heavely homebrewed). Now even without that, it depends on what you really want to do. Answer (1 of 5): If you read the intro, it is suppose to be powerful/artifact-level weapon/item. Most of which are suppose to dwell in the Feywild/Shadowfell. The Shadowfell is an "echo" of the Prime Material Plane and at least a part of the Demiplane of Shadow. It also is a opposite "echo" of t We take a look at this extremely powerful and complex multiclass option. Discussing the various feats, spells, invocations, gear, and more that you may want Im trying to make a pure hexblade warlock designed to be utility/damage on the frontline, at the moment we are level 2 but the campaign will go to 20 and I was hoping for an outline of must have spells and ASI's for each level, I went half-elf, stats are 8,14,16,8,12,17 (17 CHA for elven accuracy at level 4 later for +1 CHA). I've never made a hexblade before so I dont know any of the spell Abilities [] Hexblade Spells []. If a bargain was made between a warlock and a being from the Shadowfell, the warlock's patron gave them access to certain powers, including a suite of spells that expanded the choices to fill their spell slots.. One of the benefits hexblades received from their patron was access to more spells from which to choose, beginning with the defensive shield and the The Hexblade (5e Equipment) Weapon (Longsword), Legendary (requires attunement and be a hexblade) Shared pact: get one extra spell slot up to 4th level (held by the hexblade weapon) True pact weapon: circumvents the pact of blade feature, treating it as a magic weapon. Also it is effected by the weapon change feature to be any weapon the The 3rd level trait Hex Warrior from Hexblade allows you to use charisma for your attack and damage rolls. Assuming you choose to wear heavy armor, a 15 is as high as you need to go in strength to wear plate armor. From there the only ability score you really need to worry about is Charisma. Hexblade's Curse. Starting at 1st level, you gain the ability to place a baleful curse on someone. As a bonus action, choose one creature you can see within 30 feet of you. The target is cursed for 1 minute. The curse ends early if the target dies, you die, or you are incapacitated. Until the curse ends, you gain the following benefits: Features: Pact magic, Otherworldly Patron (Hexblade), Hexblade's Curse (awesome: short rest recovery, heal yourself, twise chance to crit, bonus to damage — but on the 5th level it'll be much more useful), Hex Warrior (Javelin or another one-handed weapon, and you attack with it using your Cha instead of Str) The Hexblade lets you choose from an expanded list of spells when you learn a warlock spell. The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you. Hexblade Expanded Spells 1st level - Shield, wrathful smite 2nd level - Blur, branding smite 3rd level - Blink, elemental weapon 4th level - Phantasmal killer, staggering smite Can you make a straight Hexblade and be effective? I say yes. Here's the 12th level Hexblade build:ddb.ac/characters/8375391/XyMPz2Love the new Trean To learn or cast a spell, a hexblade must have a Charisma score equal to at least 10 + the spell level (Cha 11 for 1st-level spells, Cha 12 for 2nd-level spells, and so forth).
