Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval. I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like. Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year. I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me. You could even send your note on a 2x3 size paper and I’ll attach it to a card. Send your picture to if you like. That would take out the SASE step. For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US. Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture. Just let me know the option that works best for you. When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us. It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael. Hi Marianne and welcome to the forum. I was just coming in to invite you the the tour review thread but seems my friend Sylvia just beat me to it! Lol I guess we’re all a little anxious to find out about Michael’s new setlist. Well, if you care to check out the link Sylvia has given you, the thread is full of reviews, pictures and video links to concert clips and is probably the most popular thread. WELCOME to the website Marianne and I hope eventually into the forum we have here on the website. Below is a link into one of the threads we have on the forum in the Section "Tours, Gigs & Announcements" and it is one where we discuss everything to do with MB's tours and we also have those who have been to concerts coming in and sharing with us their Bolton Adventure by giving a review of the show and we love those, especially when there are so many of us who can't always get to the shows, and as I noticed on the Thanksgiving blog that you had said you were at the show last night in Dover I wondered if you would consider coming into the thread and giving us a little review of what the show was like !! :) We obviously would love to know if Michael sang any of the songs from his forthcoming CD and if he made any further announcement about it for we only know it is scheduled to come out in February and that it is a Motown CD and it is called "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" and obviously contains that song so any other news would be more than welcome !! :)
I do hope you will consider coming into the thread Marianne and giving us a review but even if not, I do hope you look through everything else we have on the forum even if you only remain, what we call, a "lurker" I hope you enjoy it all !! :) Also too if you have any questions or come up against any problems do not hesitate to ask for help and someone will be more than willing to give and you could even come onto me on my page I will try and help. I should also let you know that Gail is the moderator of the forum and you will see her name pop up often on the threads where she comes in and answers our questions or includes things of interest for us to do with MB.
