Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval.
I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like.
Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year.
I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me.
For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US.
Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope).
A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture.
When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us.
It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael.

Hi Sylvia and I have to say just seeing message below that I presume you thought you had sent me but when it appears on your page it hasn't been sent to anyone and only way anyone sees is to come onto your page.  You have to go directly onto other persons page or, if you are friends, you can send messages called PM's which don't appear on this post box but are private.  I have my comments on post box set to the controlled facility so that they don't automatically appear for everyone to read as I can get messages with personal content on there because I'm not necessarily friends with the person writing to me and I like to keep things private, if I can, and respect peoples' privacy.

I do, obviously, hope that everything goes well for you with your surgery and I am sure it will for always remember that although this is first time for you the people in whose hands you are putting yourself have done such procedures often.  I know too it is okay to say don't be scared or worry but that is never an easy thing to do but try and don't get too worked up about and try and think to the day when it will all be over and you will be well on the road to recovery.  I wish you all the very, very best and look forward to hearing from you after your surgery is all over.  On Michael, why don't you send him a nice tweet yourself just saying something like:   "@mbsings could you be so kind as to send me good luck tweet for I'm having major surgery and to hear from you would mean the world."   That tweet is 130 characters so should fit okay.  Also send to him either today or tomorrow for remember he has show in LA on 3rd so will be doing rehearsals for that.  Copy the tweet I have given you Sylvia and send to him and see what happens, okay ??? :)

Good luck with everything, surgery and tweet and take care and try to believe everything will be okay....okay ??? :)

Hi again Sylvia and message I have put in below for you is one I like to send to all new members !! :)   I saw where you have put in comments in blogs and also obviously your note below because I have come into your page but I did also see where you have started to put in post on 2014 Tour thread and you were in right place and going along right lines.   If you pop back in and where you can place it is either in the box which indicates "reply" at top of page or you can go to last page and where on the very last post someone has put in where you see the "reply" on that just click on it and up will come a box for you to type in and once you have done what you must do is go to bottom until you see "add post" and then click on that and it will automatically add what you have typed. If you have typed using box at top of page it will transfer your post to the last page of the thread you are in.  You also get 15 minutes to edit your post and you will see that at foot written in a gold colour "15 minutes to edit" and if you want to edit all you do is click on that and it will change your post back into the box form and allow you to edit whatever you want but, once again, you must "save" it after you have made changes or it will revert back to original post.    Hope that is clear and not as "clear as mud" but PLEASE if you have any problems or you don't understand what I have said PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE just give me a shout for no problem at all for me to try and help out....okay ???? :)   I say that too because I am from Scotland and there is a standing joke on the forum that I speak "Scottish speak" and sometimes need an interpreter with me for all you Americans to understand me...LOL   We have good FUN and laughter on the forum, I can assure you of that and so I really do hope you will enjoy joining in and if not, that you just enjoy looking through everything but am so pleased to have you on board !!! :)

Can I also say that we do have a few girls, including myself, with the name or variant spellings of it, Sylvia so I must ask you in order that we can verify which of us it is if you would use a nom-de-plume such as "Sylvia V" or "Sylvia VJ" or "Sylvia Florida".   I use "Sylvia.  Your wee Scottish friend" but there is another girl Sylvia who was on here from beginning although she doesn't come in much at all now but she is known solely as "Sylvia" and therefore not to get mixed up with her nor, if you like, to take away her right to call herself by her name if you wouldn't mind using, as I say, a nom-de-plume.  We do have a Sylvie from Canada and a Silvy from Switzerland plus a Sylvia PS from Portugal......common as muck that is what we are and I thought I was special till I came on here OR it could be that those with such a wonderful name as Sylvia, really are classy and only follow the best like Michael.....yeah, we have style and taste .....think we will definitely go with that definition......LOL

Hi Sylvia and WELCOME to the website and I do hope you will join us in the forum section we have here which can be found by going to the "Connect" heading on your page and then clicking on "forums" when that appears above and that is where we all come together and discuss everything to do with Michael and below I have given you links into threads that we have where things are pretty active. A hint for right now is when you find something you want to follow you must indicate that fact and what you do is indicate that you wish to follow a category or thread within a category and you will then be notified by e-mail from "Michael Bolton" that either a new thread has been started within the category or, that a new post/comment has been entered in thread, you are following. For categories you will find indication box at foot of first page for each category and for threads it is located under the "reply" box toward top of page in each thread and you must change settings to show "stop following" when you want to follow.

If you have any questions about the website or forum please do not hesitate to come onto my page and I will try to answer as best I can. Should also inform you that Gail Atkinson is the moderator of the website. I should like to make it clear that I am in no way connected to admin, it is only Gail that holds any admin position.
