Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval. I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like. Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year. 1- request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me. For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US. Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). 2- The second option isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I can print your picture if you wish to include one. 3- you can mail me your note and I’ll put it in a card for you. If you have an idea that would work best for you, just send me an email. When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us. It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to get it mailed about the week before his birthday. Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65! Looking forward to hearing from you, Sally
Hi Farrah, thanks for your response, better late than never! If you’d like, you can get E-mail alerts when someone posts a message on your page. Just click on “manage my page” and then scroll down to where it says “E-mail”. Check or uncheck what you want to be alerted of, then save your changes and voila! Ah thank you for the nice holliday wishes! I’m all for peace and tranquility of the soul, but I do enjoy family togetherness: I have 4 kids. :D About Orrin, apparently, he looks even more like Michael on his latest CD. If you’d like to check him out, just go to orrinbolton.com.
Well anyway, I’d like to extend my warm holliday wishes to you too Farrah: serenity and a positive outlook for 2011! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
Hi Farah and first, welcome to the forum! From Pierrefonds? No way! It’s a small world, isn’t it? When I first read your post, I checked your page to find out where you were from, where are you in Canada? Just curious. You have a pretty name, but of course you know that! Lol No, that’s not Michael on my pic,it’s Michael’s big brother Orrin. I met him in 2002 and 2004, at the MBC fan reception. I bought his 1st CD in ’01 and since he had his E-mail address on the signed card with it, I E-mailed him to tell him what I thought of it and we’ve been keeping in touch ever since. Orrin is a sweetheart! He just released a 2nd CD this past August and I got that one too. I don’t know how long you’ve been a fan of Michael’s, but Orrin was on Oprah with Michael in 1995 and sang a song Michael wrote. Well, take care Farah and hope you enjoy the forum as much as we do! Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
