I want to extend my deepest apologies to those who had tickets to my cancelled Stuttgart show. I woke up late this afternoon with a high fever and sore throat. A physician was able to see me at the hotel and I was diagnosed with bronchitis. As I have said before, but cannot stress enough, the decision to cancel a show and disappoint fans (many who have waiting a very long time to see a show) is agonizing, but unfortunately the extensive travel and duration of this very, very long world tour has occasionally resulted in illness that makes it impossible for me to perform.

Although I have been under the weather for quite some time, I've been on a mission to perform as much as possible in Germany for my incredible fans over here and our first shows were fantastic. I can only hope to rest intensively and heal quickly as there are more shows ahead as well as a televised performance with Helene Fischer and Jose Carreras. My sincere apologies to all the people who were looking forward to the show and for any inconvenience the cancellation has caused anyone. Mb

Remember a hot toddy tea, brandy, honey and lemon.  Lot's of rest.  I know your fans understand.....you got to take care of yourself also.

Hi again Michael, I visit this blog every day to read fans’ comments and sitting here, I’m thinking:”Wow, these people care a great deal!” There’s a regular encyclopedia  of remedies here! All I wanted to add was that as you get some rest, take care of your soul too Michael: talk to your family, watch a little Rodney or take the time to watch your favorite movie “It’s a wonderful life”. That should remind you of how you, yourself have touched so many lives in as much of a positive way as George Bailey has. You mean a lot to us so do get well soon Michael. With much love and warm healing hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hope with some rest and medication you are feeling much better now.  There isn't a lot you can do but take care of yourself when you are feeling sick so hope you are getting some TLC and are on the mend.  It has been frightfully cold and lots of snow in some places but here in N Va we have been fortunate to only have a dusting the night before last.  Putting up the decorations and won't mind if we have a White Christmas.  Know Europe must be fun all decorated for the season and being where Silent Night was written must bring it all home for you.  I had fun sharing your beautiful video on Facebook this Sunday.  Thank you for giving us that most lovely way of sharing the reason for the season.  You know you are in our prayers for a complete speedy recovery!  God keep you in his care.(-:

Michael, I hope you are getting plenty of rest and feeling much better. It might be better for you to be at home at this time with your family, where there are people who can take care of you as you recuperate. Your gruelling schedule this year, combined with the very cold weather of late has probably taken its toll on your health, you must take time out to rest and let your body heal. I know it must be hard for you to have to cancel concerts, as you love and appreciate your fans and don,t want to disappoint any of us, I also know how much you love travelling and performing,

but we want you to get well again, we love you very much.

Lots of love and hugs

Sandra xxxxxxxxx

dear michael ,hope your feeling much better today , when im ill & under the weather i always try something new , like for instance i know you carnt do this as your ill but i went in a bubbling hot tub , then jumped out rolled in the snow & ran back in the hot tub all while it was snowing heavy , then had a snowball fight ,even though i was in my swimsuit & it was cold  it made me feel alive & thats why when your feeling blue you should do something too as its a chance to grow , & anyway i always say you carnt sing the blues unless youv have been blue yourself , & i can sing them too my friend love suzy xxxxx

Michael you really need to take care of yourself!!!  I can't imagine how you do it a new place every day and concerts every other night.  You really need to slow down and get the rest and relaxation you need to get better.  The most important thing is that you get well and stay healthy. So please try and do this.  You need to take time come home to be with your family for the holiday.  The girls and that beautiful little granddaughter are home here waiting for you as is you dear mother. You need to be well so you can enjoy the time off and play with Millie!  Hope you have a safe  trip home and we are all praying you will be well and and stay well in the coming New Year!  Lots of warm fuzzy hugs!!

Love Eileen  xoxox
