I flew to Nashville yesterday and attended the funeral of a giant, in our world of music ... a dear friend and one of my greatest heroes and champions, Frances Williams Preston.  A brilliant light and powerhouse in the music industry. BMI's long time leader and fierce advocate for songwriters. A woman who was not only an example and inspiration to all women but someone who left a profound impact on every man and woman who worked for her and BMI. I loved her and so treasured my long friendship with her.   My heart, my love, and my support goes out to her wonderful family. Vince Gill spoke and said, 'Frances was a powerful woman. And power doesn't look good on most people, but Frances was kind.'  And immediately everyone was in tears. MB forever grateful to Frances Preston.  These are just a few of our very fond memories together...

Oh bless that lady , sounds like shes left love in the hearts of those lucky enough to meet her , what a wonderful inspiration she must have been , thank you for sharing these precious and beautiful pictures with us .xx
