Did you know that April is Autism Awareness Month? To celebrate those affected by autism, I will be joining Light It Up Blue and you should too! www.lightitupblue.org. Tomorrow is World Autism Awareness Day. The stats are scary: 1-88 in the US. (1 in 54 boys). 1 in 38 in S. Korea. The cost to the US economy is $137 Billion/year. The Empire State Building, the Sydney Opera House and monuments around the globe will be turning blue tomorrow in an effort to raise awareness further and direct attention. Join me! MB

My agency assists all kinds of persons with disabilities with employment services in Maryland. We have counselors working with many young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Asperger's Syndrome. It's scary how many people are being diagnosed, more all the time.. These bright folks need all the support they can get in their lives. Thanks for sharing the awareness here!
