#1 & 3.  You look happy aboard a boat, and the Grand Canal is magnificent as ever.  Friends will be there in Venice in a couple of days.  But if you'd get home in a week or so, you might get a boat ride in the Sound with your fan & your neighbors before their boat gets put up for the winter!  Cockenoe & Captain's Cove cannot match the Grand Canal, but it's not bad out there. . .  Thanks for all the nice pics.  Votre Amie
