Hello Sylvie
I saw your beautiful creations, it's lovely :) i like the cottage most :) keep doing what you like and all good work :) hugs , thida :)
Hi everyone, today I'm uploading a picture I thought I'd lost, but found on my computer. It's good to clean up! :D This is one of my very early music boxes and I'd made this one for my middle sister. She's not much for fancy girly stuff, so I thought I'd make her a treasure chest, in some of her favorite colors and I weaved the fabric on that one. It plays the Beatles' "Michelle" because that's her middle name. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3
Hi ladies, thank you both for your comments, I really appreciate them. :D Ah come on, I have 4 kids, I know who the Smurfs are and my favorite is Clumsy! lol Don't they live in mushroom houses though? :D When I was looking for an Irish theme for "Galway Bay", Amie suggested a stone cottage, I did a little research and figured out the thatch roof, so that was fun. Thanks again ladies, glad you like it. Take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3
Hi Sylvie and it is indeed a beautiful creation and there are pictures of the shutters closed and open and I think they are absolutely delightful. I adore the lamppost and in fact, adore it all, right down to the little doorknob....it is beautiful Sylvie !!! :) Agree with Kathy about the Smurfs and with her mentioning them, I could see one climbing out the chimney without any problem ....LOL
Thanks for sharing Sylvie !!! :)

OH MY Sylvie...your Galway Cottage is delightful!!!!!! I was looking for little folks like the smurfs to come walking out the front door!!! Are you familiar with the Smurfs cartoon? I will explain briefly...they are tiny blue little adorable folks who live in a miniature world. Someplace where Galway Cottage would be the norm!!! I LOVE it and it is soooo detailed and very BEAUTIFUL!!! Great job Sylvie :))))
Hi again everyone, here are the 2 other pictures. BTW, it plays the Irish song “Galway Bay”:

Incidentally, it’s too bad it wouldn’t show on the pictures, but the lamppost actually lights up! I built it on a flameless candle and filled the transparent tube with see-through beeds, but the battery isn’t strong enough. Anyway, I tried. :D Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3
Hi everyone, well it certainly took a while to finish this one, but I'm finally done! My newest creation is my idea of an Irish cottage. I've been successful with the stone wall design, so I thought I'd elaborate on it. One of the reasons it took me so long is that I spent 2 weeks just on the lawn! lol Anyway, hope you like it. There are 4 pictures, but since I'm not sure my son took a picture of the closed shutters, there might be a 5th one coming. Enjoy! Take care and thanks for your interest. Hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3
Hi Sylvia, thanks for your comment and appreciation. I hope you get your head on straight by the end of the week girl: you're starting to worry me... ;D Take care Sylvia and thanks again. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3
Thanks or sharing that one Sylvie for it looks beautiful and you sure had me confused.....something I never am.....for when I saw the initials I thought has Sylvie meant to put OB but hasn't finished the O for it is definitely not MB....thank goodness you said it was JB, Jacques Brel....LOL Lovely one Sylvie and thanks again for sharing !!! :)

Hi everyone, I have a new picture today, but not a music box yet. It's not anything particularly special either, but it's part of my creations. To make a very long story short, I'm giving my friend a box of CD's, but wanted it to look like a box of candy or chocolates. The box is full of Jacques Brel CD's, hense the initials. A few years back, his company released a box set called "La boîte à bonbons" (the box of candy), quoting one of his songs, which is where I got the idea from. Take care and hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3
