Hey Kathy, oh sweetie, I only made his suit, I'm not that good! lol Aww, thanks for sharing your story though, how sweet! All he was wearing was his bow and holding his heart when we bought him. I just remember laughing to myself when I decided to make a "monkey suit" for a monkey and my son was happy, so it was worth it... :D Take care Kathy and thanks for checking in. :D Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3

Hey Sylvia, he's actually not much bigger then 14 inches or so, I love his hat too! The hat used to be the lid of a peanut jar. :D Thanks for checking in Sylvia and glad you like him. Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3

Hi friends, today's  picture is all about nostalgia. For reasons I won't go into, I suddenly remembered something I made a long time ago. This was about 10 years ago: along with a little chocolate treat, we'd bought our kids a cute plush for Valentine's day. When they were distributed, my youngest stubbornly rejected his, saying he'd rather have his brother's. After much bargaining, my eldest son gave his up to his brother. So to thank him for his selflessness, I decided to dress up  his monkey. Now how could I dress a monkey? with a "monkey suit"! lol So I sewed him a suit around the attached lims and even made a convenient hole for his tail, though you can't see it... :D Notice the matching buttons and cufflinks... :D Take care friends and thanks for indulging this little moment of nostalgia. Hugs to all, sincerely, Sylvie <3

Hey Kathy, you have country dolls who sing? That's so cool! I have a musical redheaded doll who plays “Georgia”... :D Now about the Marie Osmond dolls, one of my friends collects them: are they porcelain dolls with real clothes or sculptures? I was wondering.  I’ve never heard of Tim Francieck, is he a sculpter? You seem to enjoy native American stuff too. I have a big beautiful native American doll too: I should PM you pictures... You’re so sweet Kathy, thank you. I’m simmering ideas for projects right now, but nothing concrete yet, I’m sorry. Duly noted about denim, pink and red... :D Aww, your Scarecrow doll sounds adorable... So when can I come over? Lol Wow, I think we could both spend a lot of time checking each other’s doll collection! I’m glad you like my squares, by the way! Well this was a lot of fun Kathy, thanks so much for posting sweetie, take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie xxx

Hi Kathy, heehee glad you like her sweetie. There are a lot of my dolls that have names, but I have so many that I'd need to make more friends to name them after them! lol But I know what you mean. I haven't found one yet that has a country style outfit so I could name her after you! lol I keep searching thrift stores for porcelain or character dolls and the more they need work, the more I love them and fuss over them... I found a Pippi Longstockings doll and need to dress her. I was raised on hand-me-down toys, so I enjoy making my own "new" toys... :D thanks for your comment Kathy, take care sweetie. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie <3
