I adored Percy Sledge and his timeless rendition of WAMLAW so many years ago, when I was very young. (Like you!) And of course I equally adored your rendition from the first time I ever heard it on the radio, right up to the most recent time that I was fortunate to hear you sing live once again, 2 years ago in Florida. I have never forgotten that incredible duet on VH1. Have not seen it in years, and I am thankful for YouTube! It brought me to tears. My prayers are for Percy's loved ones in their loss of such a sweet and humble soul. God bless you and stay well and happy.

Legends leave legacies for the world that are the greatest treasures for they are pieces of themselves. Like stars they illuminate the firmament of the entertainment world. I am so grateful to have enjoyed his music - it was so much a part of my youth. He was an unforgettable gift and his music lives on as does his great spirit. My prayers are with his family, his friends, and his fans - God bless you Percy Sledge and thank you!
