It was just brought to my attention that some of my fans in attendance at the Dublin show were told that, at my request, they could not take photos or video during my performance on Thursday. This news was extremely upsetting to me and I want to clarify that I always allow pics by the fans and there will never be a time when I restrict them as I know how much it adds to the experience of enjoying the evening. There are performances where venue management will ask audience members not to take pics, but if anyone at those venues ever represents that I personally (or anyone on my behalf) has not allowed the photography that is a blatant untruth. Even in venues where I know this is the policy, when I see a fan taking a shot using their phone or a camera I will smile and pose, as again, I think it adds to their enjoyment of the experience.

The Dublin show was one of my favorites of the last 90 I've done. I loved the theater and the audience, which was fantastic and sang to me all night. My position has and will always be that the fans have paid and waited to come see me and if they want to take pics with cameras or their phones that's absolutely fine with me. I encourage them to do so and post their faves, here or anywhere else that they like. This has always been the case and will not change!!

I was at the show in Dublin, Im 19 and it was my first ever concert and I have to say It was absoluely fantastic. You are as good live as you are when recorded. You give it 100% and I think that's why everyone really appreciates you. It's good that you also bring a little humour into your concerts too. Hope to see you back in belfast/dublin again. Take care.

Thanks Michael for setting the record straight!
I totally agree with you the fact that it helps bring back memories of a great concert and I love seeing and hearing from all your fans their experiences as well :)
I must admit my picture's were hopeless it's very hard to dance, take pictures and sing whilst taking pictures :) so mine were just terrible maybe next time:)
I hope to see you back at Qpac Brisbane Australia soon

Hi Michael, I appreciate your sharing your thoughts and feelings about this. Over the years you've never seemed to mind our taking pictures! I remember one tour you all on stage got out cameras and took ours!! LOL I have many photos and they are great memories of my many concerts and we do love sharing them with each other. I read that about the Dublin show and didn't believe it came from you, but from the venue staff themselves most likely. I was concerned in Newark but they didn't bother any of us and we got some fantastic pictures during the show. It's re-assuring to know you are totally ok with it as none of us want to offend you in any way by taking pics/videos of the shows!! THANK YOU!!!!
See you in February (with my camera!!LOL)!!

Take care and be safe in your travels!!

thats a shame , but dont be to hard on yourself , think us fans know that you go all out to do the very best you can , its just different places thats all & different rules as at the kc stadium in hull where i live , during the football game here your not allowed to take photos or film , not sure about concerts here though , i pray that i get to see you in cardiff ,although i have a travel phobia .... i must admit though i planned to take lots of photos of you & never thought about not being able to, just wish my daughter could have got tickets in sheffield as its much nearer & then i could have pinched you too lol , in my dreams ahh maybe.hmmmm... take care love suzy xxx
