We all should acknowledge and honor in our hearts all of the victims of the tragedy of 911 as well as their families and loved ones. Let's never forget the
first responders, their families and all those who risked their lives, and who showed the ultimate heroism on that day, and on the days that followed. Let's
also always be mindful that this is what they do in their line of work every day for all of us. MB

You are so warm and kind with your rememberance of that tragic time.  When the gala was in CT it was my privilege to take a trip to Sherwood Island State Park and visit the memorial there to the people who lost their lives that day.  Very speical tribute to those folks, and I am honored to visit such a fine place.  One wish is We shall never need another place like this again!  Thank you Michael!

Thank you so much Michael for your thoughtful words. My husband Bob is a firefighter (as you know) and... but for the grace of God go I... are the words foremost on my mind every anniversary of 9/11. We attended the second year anniversary of 9/11 in New York and Bob participated in the firefighter line up representing the Los Angeles City Fire Department. Several of our firefighter friends participated in the search and rescue efforts after 9/11 and we WILL NEVER FORGET!!! Bless all the families that lost loved ones and especially the first responders who "walked into" their deaths trying to help someone else.... as they do every day!!!!! I love my firefighter :))))

This drama will always remain in our life. An event that unfortunately characterizes our history. such fatalism should not be able to terrorize the world. Unfortunately, there was such a tragedy by this fatalistic powers to win. It should not be possible for the fatalism rules the world.

All people on earth should be remember that we are all just a guest here.

There was a service at the 9/11 Memorial at Sherwood Island park on Monday night, and a small group held a "moment of silence" remembrance at Compo last night (9/11).  A lot of people in this area were badly affected, lost loved ones, colleagues, friends, jobs and more.  Yes, we remember them - every last one of them - in our hearts and minds and souls.  We remember them so vividly, it seems impossible that it has been 11 years.  Thank you for remembering them with such kind words.  votre Amie

Well said Michael and unfortunately none of us should ever forget the horrors that mankind has wrought on himself and for what but the ego....what a sad indictment for us all to carry.

Sylvia.   Your wee Scottish friend.
