Hi again Amber, yep, you got your Sylvies mixed up! That’s okay, there’s a Sylvia from the UK, a Sylvia from Texas, a Silvy from Switzerland and there’s me! That got confusing a couple of months ago when we found out Michael had responded to questions fans had posted, in his current tour book, because someone misprinted. However, I found out Michael had answered 2 of my questions out of the 13 questions he answered altogether! What are the odds? :D There are a lot of Carols and Debbies and a few Lindas here too. Oh good Lord, having Michael sing to me directly… I think you can only imagine a minute part of it, but if it happens to you, I’m sure the feeling is magnified a thousand times over! Which fave country singer of yours became a parent? One of my Bolton buds is a big country fan and follows some of their concerts aroundher area. She’s a big Keith Urban fan. Well you know Amber, when singers share a big part of your life by being in your home most every day, they become your friends and you care about them: that’s called being human. Someone came to my house recently and looked at all my MB pics in the house and said:Wow, Michael Bolton is really a part of this family, isn’t he?” :D I’m really glad for you that you’re rediscovering Michael. Let me know when you get “Timeless the classics” and if you get the new Xmas CD next month. I hope they post a track listing soon. All right Amber I’m off. Take care sweetie and have a great day. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Amber, that’s interesting that your best friend is legally blind. May I ask what she or he has? Just curious. Girl, you got me wondering where I had told you that Michael sang to me while he held my hand... and didn’t find anything to that effect on your page! Lol I did post somewhere that Michael gave me a guitar pick in 2003, but it was after the show was done. My friend took me to the stage and called out to him. He came and put his right hand in my left one and curled it into mine until I felt the guitar pick and after it was secure, he let go. I was in shock! Lol He didn’t say anything at all so cince I can’t see him, it took me a couple of seconds before I registered it was him and I thanked him after my friend did. I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face for the entire night! Lol He did sing to my friend Sylvia from Tx while holding her hand though. Cool you know Olivia, oh I love her to bits… Nothing exciting here: laundry and hearty cleaning before the weekend. Glad to hear you’ll be getting more MB music and do love the new album! Have you had time to check my timeline yet? Just checking. Okay, one more message and I’m out of here. Take care Amber and i’m sure we’ll talk soon. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hey Amber, I’m sorry to hear about your spine condition. I’ll try and look it up to find more details about it. You still seem to have a great spirit girl, God bless you! My blindness, if you care to know, has to do with a hereditary disease called retinitis pigmentosa that has had me losing sight all my life, I am now what they call legally blind. 40 times since yesterday? Lol Even I can’t claim that! Good Lord, I’d drive my boys crazy! Thank goodness my husband doesn’t mind… :D Oh yes, it’s working! Lol But you know Amber, Michael might be 57 biologically, but he’s timeless to me and a lot of people say he’s getting better with age… Nope, nothing wrong with looking girl, but you gotta watch out for the drooling! Lol Sweetie pie, who is to say that you’re obsessed; if Michael’s music makes you feel good, I say go for it! The 1992 CD “Timeless the classics” has “To love somebody” on it. Oh Amber, if you can find the CD “Til the end of forever”, Michael does a very sweet live acoustic rendition of “To love somebody”, it’s really beautiful and my favorite version, I think. I heard him sing it that way in 2002… About Lady Gaga, I have to say that I don’t enjoy all her lyrics and I’m very glad I don’t see her… :D I was raised on country music, although I’m very picky about what I like. My favorite female singer used to sing country: Olivia Newton-John, have you heard of her? She was in the movie “Grease” and I think she sings like an angel… I do enjoy the Backstreet Boys and my youngest daughter is crazy about them. I have a very wide range of musical tastes though and it keeps growing all the time. All right, I’m off to more messages. Take good care of yourself sweetie and I’m sure we’ll talk soon. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Amber, how are you? Lol yeah I know how it is, listening to a certain song over and over again! When I boughtt the CD last year, I played the whole CD 7 times in a row in one day! Lol HITL is very catchy and I think that’s why Michael sings that one in the concerts. It’s too bad it’s the only one though. If you check Youtube, they have him singing “Sign your name” all over Europe last year, “Just one love” and “Murder my heart” at the RAH and all over England too. Do you like Lady Gaga? I like some of her songs and I respect the fact that she’s a trained musician and can sing live. We’d heard “Murder my heart” co-written with Gaga in July ’09 on Youtube and I fell in love with it, but my favorite is “Need you to fall”, although I love them all. I just love the way he does “Georgia” and “Crazy love” on the DVD! Oh I sympathize about not being able to travel much. Back in March, Michael was in Quebec City, which is 2 hours drive away from us, but we couldn’t afford the lodging. I guess you weren’t able to catch Michael earlier this year? Oh I hope he comes back too. He came here in April 09 and said he’d be coming back for the next record but we’re still waiting. May I ask why you’re in a wheelchair? Just curious, you don’t have to answer that. There’s a Lori from the maritimes here who’s in a wheelchair and I know a few more ladies from Europe who are too, but so far, only my friend Robin from CA and me who are blind that I know of. Amber, you’re too funny! Lol Michael’s a year older than my husband and you’re practically young enough to be my daughter… My eldest is 25 and she doesn’t care for Michael: I made her sick of him! Lol Well sweetie, enjoy the CD and have a great rest of the weekend! Take care. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Amber, how are you? I’m good, tired but good. No, I haven’t seen Michael’s picture with Amelia Rose… Oops, did I forget to tell you I was legally blind? :D It sounds really sweet though… I don’t know if you’ve read, but Michael has said before that he had a bit of trouble with the word “grandfather” but as a fan said, I think he may have forgotten that, holding this precious baby… I wish I could see it… OMG, good you got both the CD and DVD! You just got them at the store? I’ll tell ya Amber, I don’t exactly trust Canadian distributors so I pretty much always have my husband order on-line, especially when it comes to Michael. So, do you have a new favorite song yet? And what do you think of the DVD? Isn’t he awesome live? Oh I love the interview on it too. I could just sit for hours listening to him talk… :D Also, did you know that his new Xmas CD is available for pre-order on Amazon.com? I haven’t checked Amazon.ca yet. The only annoying thing is that it’ll be released Nov 29 in the U.K. and Dec 7 in the U.S., but there are no track listings yet so I’m holding out on pre-ordering for now. I just hope I get it in time for Xmas! All right Amber, I’ve raked the front yard this afternoon and I’m bushed so I’m off to bed. Talk to you later. Thanks for writing, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hey Amber, well, if you check out the timeline document I’ve told you about on my friends page, I own everything listed on there, except the 1971 soundtrack.  Oh I love the RAH DVD: aside from the concert that does include “Can I touch you there”, there’s also a very nice interview. It’s too bad Michael doesn’t sing that song very often though. For some strange reason, he mostly sings it in Europe, according to fans reports. OMG Amber, if “Can I touch you there” makes you blush, don’t listen to “Slowly” on “Only a woman like you”! lol As I’ve said before, I’ve been a fan for over 20 years, but I bought everything I could find that he released prior to 1989. Girl, I have, at last count, 128 CD’s, but that does include singles, compilations, special ltd editions, interviews, etc. And that’s not counting songs he recorded on other people’s albums and I don’t have everything. :D Yep, I’m a 24 karat nutball… :D But if you’re asking for actual official releases, without counting the endless compilations, 26 albums were released by Michael. Anyway, if you have questions about those, let me know, after you’ve checked out the timeline. Well, off to more messages. Take care Amber and have a great weekend. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Amber, you weren’t kidding when you said you were on here a lot! Lol Good to hear you know about OWOL, but do you know there are 2 versions of it? The U.K. version (same as the Canadian one released in March here) that was released in September 2009 has the songs “Can you feel me” and “Invisible tattoo” that are not on the U.S. version released in May 2010. On the other hand, the U.S. version has “My lady” and “What you’re doing to me” that the U.K. disc doesn’t have, thought I’d let you know. Oh girl, trust me, I know how it is with MB wish lists and wish lists in general: too much good stuff, too little time and money! lolGood luck picking a CD! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi again Amber, yes I’ve been told the brothers look a lot alike and a lot of people think he’s the one in my picture. Everyone who’s ever met Michael says he’s a wonderfully charming and compassionate man. Orrin is a musician and in 2001, out of curiosity, I bought his CD and really liked it. Since his E-mail address was included with the CD, I E-mailed him to tell him how I felt about it and he responded! I’ve been writing to him ever since and although he’s a busy guy, he does respond sometimes. It was a treat to meet him because he actually remembered me from the E-mails! BTW, did you know Michael released a new pop CD back in May called “One world one love”? You should definitely look it up! Well, take care sweetie and talk to you soon. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi again Amber, oh wow, that’s great that you enjoyed Michael at 11! My soon-to-be 13 year old enjoys mostly Michael’s ballads and his 80’s rock, including the Black Jack albums, which you might not know about. Michael had a rock group in 1979-80 called Black Jack and they made 2 albums. Well, if you need help catching up, let me know!  Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Amber, no I didn’t get your first message sweetie, sorry. Well, if someone asks a question and I know the answer, I respond; it was my pleasure. To tell you the truth Amber, I don’t have the time or frankly the will to deal with Facebook. My friend told me it was blind-friendly but I’m having enough trouble keeping up with this site! Lol I am on here a lot too and participate in a lot of discussions. You see, I work with a screen-reader program and even though I’ve been following Michael’s career for over 20 years, this is the first site that’s almost completely blind-friendly and I’m having the time of my life! May I ask how long you’ve been a fan? Just curious. Well Amber, write to me anytime! Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada

Hi Amber, I’ve just read your post on Michael’s blog about Elaine Paige’s CD and wanted to help. You must be very young if you don’t know Barry Manilow! He’s a singer who’s height of popularity was mostly in the mid to late 70’s, but he’s still making music today. He was mentoring on “American Idol” a few years ago. Billy Ocean sang “Caribbean queen” and was mostly popular in the mid to late 80’s. Dionne Warwick has been recording since the late 60’s and is known for the song “That’s what friends are for”. Johnny Mathis has been recording even longer than Dionne. Kenny G is a sax player and played on Michael’s song “Missing you now”. LeAnn Rimes is a young country artist. Olivia was in the movie “Grease” and is a wonderful singer. Paul Anka is a Canadian singer/songwriter who’s been around since at least the early 60’s. Sinead O’Connor is mostly known for remaking the Prince song “Nothing compares to you” and being bald in the mid 80’s. Do you know Elaine Paige at least?  Well anyway, I hope that helps. OMG, you’re from Canada? Me too, I’m from the Montreal area! Well take care Amber and hope to read you around. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie from Canada
