Hey Amie, I appreciate your 2 cents about anything having to do with publishers. Many fans I’ve talked to are trying to look at the delay positively. I’m personally hoping the publisher reconsiders. Well I did finish up my windoes: all 14 of them in 2 days and by myself, merci beaucoup! Heehee, you’re a better juggler than I am girl: I tried working on 2 projects earlier this year and found it didn’t work for me. Glad for you one is progressing, by the way. :D OMG, lol no I don’t know everybody sweetie, but I do follow most discussions, talk to a lot of people and try to keep my busy friends updated on important MB info. I’m sure you could do the same, spare time allowing so no prob for the info. I thought of you last week because our man was apparently in New York at a book expo and I thought: chute, Amie could have gone! We found out after the fact though. I read your post on the blog and you put a big smile on my face, thank you Amie! :D Girl, I don’t know if Michael reads our posts, but I think he might be feeling the squeeze of a pending deadline! I don’t know how many of yours were produced in print sweetie, but can you estimate when he should be done with it if he wants it to be released Nov 13? I know nothing but I don’t know if he should still be working on it... Then again, that could be why he’s not touring that much. Well let’s see, what have we been up to... We’ve been chasing yard sales in the past couple of weeks to find some kind of TV rack for my son but nothing for him so far. I have picked myself up a few interesting CD’s, LP’s and even music boxes, as if I needed more! :D Speaking of which, I could put my snail pic in your next PM if you’d like... :D It’s my daughter’s birthday today and I managed to find her a card that plays “How am I supposed to live without you”! lol It’s not really a birthday card, but I miss her a lot so I couldn’t resist... I guess if you can find a recognizable melody, anything is possible, even Lady Gaga’s “Poker face”! I hope you were able to get some nice pics of decorated palm trees, I’m sure they’re very interesting to look at. I’ve never heard of a Schefflera tree. I had to check the spelling because at first, it sounded like “chou-fleur” to me! Lol Do they celebrate any kind of holliday in Asia at this time of the year? I’m sure that when they do though, it must be something to behold, especially Chinese New Year. HiAmie, I’m sorry it’s been so long since I’ve written sweetie, I’ve had computer problems and was off-line for a week and I’m having a hard time catching up. I just wanted to touch base and tell you that I’ll respond to your PM as soon as I can. Tempus fugit is right: my youngest daughter just celebrated her first wedding anniversary... Wow, I was just going through our comment thread to find out how late in the news we were and sadly, we are. About 3 weeks ago, I went to my Marie- Josée recital and had a fantastic time, I even met her! She’s a sweetheart on and off-stage. I had left my CD at home but she signed my program. My friend introduced me to Marie- Josée as her biggest admirer and I think she got it... ;D Finances allowing, I hope to go back to see her in February. Hope all is well in your neck of the woods and good news are afoot. Michael is in Australia doing promo and we’re bombarded with interviews, I love it! I couldn’t but got a play-by-play on one of the threads. My hubby checked out the Emmy start time for tomorrow and there’s a 2 hour pre-show on an L.A. station. I’m sorry but I’m not a fan of those, but if MB might be there, I’ll suffer it. :D Wow Amie, you don’t seem heartbroken that your boss died… Hmm, 3 books in a year, are you saying you lost your job shortly before we started corresponding? Wasting time on the computer, huh? :D So you don’t have a friend who does the art work for you? My daughter’s a graphics designer but not sure if that would be suitable for you. Good luck with the agent, that search has been going on for a while! Good to know your landlady is out of the woods. Aww, I’m allergic but I love cats! Well, on my side, I’ll have a nice distraction from the fact that I can’t go to the closest MB concert in Canada in October. My opera buddy is taking me to hear my favorite Canadian soprano Marie-Josée Lord. I don’t think I’ve had you hear her yet. Here’s a sample:
