Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval. I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like. Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year. I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me. You could even send your note on a 2x3 size paper and I’ll attach it to a card. Send your picture to if you like. That would take out the SASE step. For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US. Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope). A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture. Just let me know the option that works best for you. When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us. It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael. Michael is in Japan right now. He actually had to cancel a show in Indonesia because there was a problem with the venue. Well anyway, yes I’m doing pretty good Devi, thanks for asking. Hurricane Sandy just passed a bit to the South of us. We’re okay and only had heavy rain and strong winds but some 49,000 people are without power North of us in the Laurentians and a good part of Toronto Ontario are without power too, but New York and New Jersey were declared as devastated areas by President Obama and we’re hoping to hear from our friends who may be flooded or without power too. Otherwise, we’re starting to try and come up with a good idea for a present to Michael for his 60th birthday in February. Hi Devi, sorry it took a while for me to write but I’ve had computer problems and have been off-line for a week and I’m having a hard time catching up. I’ve heard from my friend who got the Japanese release of "Gems". She’s told me that there was only a small black and white booklet added to the original one and there are no pictures of Agnes, but Michael did write this about her:

Hi Devi, when my friend read about the many versions of « Gems”, she said we’d have presents for all 12 days of Christmas! Lol Oh no sweetie, the fact that I’m legally blind is a fact of life. If other people can see and I can’t, it’s not their fault. :D I did show your picture to a friend who could see it though. I used to see when I was younger so it’s fun to know how things look sometimes, but be sure you didn’t say anything wrong. I used to mention it to people but since I can manage on the site with very little problems, it seems pointless. You are so sweet Devi, thank you for your kind words! Hi Devi, wow, I was just about to write to you! lol That’s wonderful news that Michael’s CD is in the best sellers in Indonesia! Well, noone’s ordered the Japan version so we don’t know about packaging yet. We do know that there’s an extra live track of “How can we be lovers” but that’s it. I will probably order it. Gail just told us that there will be a German, Portuguese, South African, Asian and Japanese version, yikes! I know you’re an Agnes fan sweetie but I’m not sure how much you actually enjoy or know from Michael. If I find out anything, I’ll lbe sure to let you know. BTW, the American version is in a triple fold cardboard pack and there is a booklet in that one. My German friends are very unhappy because they were supposed to get a special version of “Gems” but it’s been taken off listings and they don’t even have the basic version in their country. Last October, they filmed the “Hitman returns” special for American TV that did not include Agnes monica, but I don’t know if they’ll change the line-up or not for various countries. It’s not about the international release of “Gems” but just in case you’d feel like seeing Michael in concert, he’ll be part of the “Hitman returns” tour in Asia in late October and he’ll be in Jakarta 10/28 at Plenary Hall. I have no idea if Agnes will be part of the show, because she’s not mentioned in the info Gail gave us, but I suggest you check the Plenary Hall web site if you’re interested. Thanks for telling me you have it on your page and I can listen anytime! :D Nothing has been made official about the foreign releases yet. We thought the German release would be out by July 1 but it’s been postponed. I’m hoping that SILYBIL will be included on the deluxe version of “Gems” and be sure I’ll let you know if I hear anything at all. To tell you the truth, I’m under the impression that Michael is still working on the deluxe version, because new duets keep popping up on YouTube with people from all over. I just wanted to let you know that we’ve had news of a new German release of “Gems” that will be called “Duets” in Germany, with a few different songs, to be released on July 1. So I think it might be a good idea to chek in on-line stores in your country if there might be another version there too. For all we know, SILYBIL with Agnes Monica will only be available on the deluxe version, but I thought I’d let you know. Here is the info for the German release:
