Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval.
I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like.
Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year.
I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me.
For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US.
Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope).
A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture.
When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us.
It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael.
Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sally

Hi Patience, just to let you know, my husband read that the Oprah "Where are they now" show is rerunning the episode with Michael tonight, at 10:00 p.m.. I will put the info in the "Canadian fans..." thread also, but was hoping you'd catch the info in time this time. :D Take care sweetie. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Patience, oh you know I want to spoil my granddaughter to bits! My kids are grown now and it’s been a while since I’ve been able to spoil little ones... She’s still so small though and I just hope to have her with me at Xmas. We put up the tree early, so can’t wait to witness her reaction. Girl, she’s laughing already! :D Anyway, if I can just get my cards done early this year, I’ll be happy with myself. So, what are your own plans with your daughter? Any yearly traditions? In any case, hope you both have fun. You take care my friend. Hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie :D

Hi Patience, in reply to your comment on the "Suggestions for songs..." thread, first, glad you enjoyed the video! :D Second, thanks very much for sending the link: this was such a nice performance. It feels kind of strange to hear it with Lara again though, after hearing it so many times on YouTube with Kelly Levesque. I think it's time to listen to "Gems" again! :D Thanks again my friend, take care. Hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie :D

Hi Patience, great to hear from you sweetie! As a matter of fact, I had a wonderful family day today, with the 4 family generations meetting and it was just wonderful! My granddaughter is gaining weight nicely and she apparently sleeps quite contently in my arms, which is an absolute blessing... :D Thanks for asking Patience.  Oh wow, we’re only 3 days apart! I’ve just added your birthday on the list and will resend it to Gail. So, what have you been up to recently? Any family projects in the works, vacation etc?  On my side, aside from cleaning projects, I’ve been working on a music box for my granddaughter and finished it yesterday, so I should be posting pictures on “My creations” blog, hopefully tomorrow. My son is going back to school soon, so I’ll start fixing little things around the house in preparations for my late September guests. That’s about it for now Patience, thanks for writing sweetie, take care. Hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie :D

Hi again Patience, thanks for the very nice teaser of a review! Oh I wish Michael would do this at the Maison Symphonique here in Montreal... Well anyway, I will look forward to your review. Hope the concert memories are helping you through the long hours! :D I shared your teaser with everyone on the tour thread, so I'm sure they'll all be waiting too. :D Take good care Patience. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D

Hi Patience, how are you? Still floating on your concert cloud? :D I tried searching for reviews yesterday and haven't found any. I only found a bit of info about the Kitchener show which mentionned an orchestra and conductor, so I was wondering if both Canadian shos were symphonic. In any case, I'm really curious to find out how the show went so hope you can come in and  write a review soon! :D Takecare sweetie and hope to hear  from you soon. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

Hi Patience, good to hear from you! I was going to write to you all day yesterday, but I was having problems with my internet connection. The reviews from the U.K. have been raving: Michael is on fire! He’s changed a few things around, added stuff and he’s having a ball. If I remember correctly, this will be your first concert, won’t it? First concert or not, I’m excited for you too! I’ll be there with you in spirit sweetie. :D A friend of mine asked if I was growing tired of waiting  for my concert to be rescheduled and suddenly thought of your concert and your name and saw it as a good omen. :D Complaining about it won’t hurry time,so I’m living vicariously through other people’s reviews and there have been some really nice ones lately. Well anyway, I will look forward to reading your review and impressions of the show sweetie and I’m sure other fans would too, if you’d like to come back to the tour thread and share. Have a great day and a wonderful concert tomorrow Patience, God bless. Big warm hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

Hi Patience, good to hear from you sweetie! I understand about being busy, I have lots to do too and I’m trying to keep up with the tour thread that’s insanely busy since the beginning of the European tour. Oh I’m so glad to hear you were able to read your book and better believe the audio will be even more delicious! :D I’m excited for you Patience and can’t wait to hear about it!   We’re all fine here, thanks for asking. My eldest son will be coming over and springing for supper tomorrow so that’ll be fun. I hope I hear from my youngest daughter though. She’s pregnant and pending moving and I haven’t heard from her in a couple of weeks.  Hope all is well in your little world too and that your daughter is ready for graduation. Thanks for the good wishes and you have a wonderful Mother’s Day too sweetie. Take care and thanks for writing. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

Hi Patience, oh please never worry about late replies: anything under 3 months is acceptable! Lol This is not Facebook and we all have lives. Incidentally, I’m not on FB. Well lucky you shopping for prom dresses! My daughters were quite independant, so I never had that pleasure. I’m  glad you found something! My son had the previous week off, so it was back to normal for me this past week. Hubby and I celebrated a milestone anniversary together while my son happened to be away, so that was fun. I’ve been working on house projects and almost done an art project so it’s encouraging. If you have time, check out “My creations” blog:

OMG, did you just find out about Michael’s book, or is it that you didn’t get around to buy it before now? We had been waiting forit for so long it seems, I got both mine from Amazon as soon as they were out. Did you know there was an audio version of it? It was on the list to be considered for a Grammy but unfortunately didn’t make it. Anyway, I really love the audio book, first because I could listen to that man talk for months, :D but I love his little impressions when he quotes people and at times, it feels like he’s just talking to us, not just reading, you know what I mean?  Well anyway, I should cut this short: I have a tendancy to be long-winded... ;D Take good care of yourself Patience and have a wonderful Sunday and a great week. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

Hi again Patience, oh my, I remember when my eldest turned 18 and it was an emotional time. I have 2 adult daughters and 2 teenage sons, but only one still living at home. Having 4 kids has had its challenges, but I wouldn’t have traded it for the world. :D I’d say Montreal is pretty good for Anglophones, but being bilingual is a huge plus. A German friend who visited a couple of years back said she had a hard time finding someone who spoke English in Quebec City. Well school break ends tomorrow and I didn’t see it go by. It’s always nice having my youngest son around, especially when talking about music, which he loves as much as I do. God bless him.  Well that’s it for now sweetie, take care and talk to you soon. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

Hi again Patience, thanks for your response. Hey I can just imagine you dancing and singing to Michael’s music: pretty picture! Lol I mean, come on: we have to sing with him! The important thing is that it makes us happy, so who cares, right? :D May I ask how old your daughter is? I’m just curious. I have 4 kids myself: 2 adults and 2 teens.   I’ll tell ya, I’m learning so much about geography through this site! :D OMG, it’s a small world, isn’t it? Didn’t you enjoy Montreal or did you have trouble with French? I was born here and I’m pretty much bilingual. I seem to have a knack for finding French-speaking people here. :D Well anyway, good to read you again sweetie, have a great weekend, take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC  Canada :D

Hi again Patience, I just read your message on my page: you're very welcome! I could just listen to Michael talk for hours and 20 minute+ interviews are the best! Feel free to save and even share links you read, that's what this site is for. :D Have fun with your own page, if you have time: the "hints and tips" thread can help you a lot for it. Take care sweetie and have a great day. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC Canada :D

P.S.: May I ask the origin of your last name? Just curious. :D

Hi Patience, what a pretty name you have! I just read your comment on the "get well messages" thread and read you were from Canada, so I just wanted to say hi to a fellow Canadian. :D If you have time to spend on the site and need help navigating or have questions, I've been here since the beginning of this site so I know my way around. BTW, whenever I hear anything Michael-related in Canada, I post it here:

 http://www.michaelbolton.com/forum/topics/canadian-fans

Honestly, I have a few Canadian friends, but not many post on a regular basis, which is why I enjoy reading new ones are around. :D Take care Patience and welcome to the forum. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie QC  Canada
