I don’t know if you enjoy opera, but Michael is singing with the Canadian Tenors on that one. I’m personally a big opera fan and while my friend was seeing Michael, I attended an opera recital and met my favorite soprano and had a wonderful evening! I’m really sorry that you feel you have to keep living a lie, but I do hope that you find some good in all your days to keep you going, one day at a time. Oh Silvia, you’re so sweet! Thank you for your kind words and I’m honored if anything I say can make your life easier in some small way… The tour book you have, is it the 2010-2011 one? I don’t know if you took the time to read it, but there’s a section of it that has fans questions Michael answered and guess what? He answered 2 of mine, unbelieveable! :D Out of 20 pages of questions fans asked, Michael picked 13 questions and 2 were mine! I hope someday to have Michael sign that book… :D How lucky you can wake up to his smiling face! I have pictures of him in my house, although I can’t see him but I don’t care: just knowing they’re there makes me happy. :D Michael is in Asia now and there’s been new videos on YouTube with David Foster & friends and a great article posted.
Hi again Silvia, I don't have any details of the release date, but Gail told us that there will be a Portuguese version of "Gems"! On it, you'll have Rita Guerra's duets with Michael of "Over the rainbow" and "Make you feel my love"! I did hear the videos of their duets on YouTube but now you'll have the studio versions on CD! It's going to be interesting because aside from the Portuguese release, there will be a German version, Asian version, Japanese version and South African version, wow! We're all checking where we can buy them all, but lucky you, you'll be able to buy it in store! :D Well sweetie, I hope this warms your heart for a little while. Gail is an absolute sweetheart, write to her and tell her that Sylvie from Canada sent you! :D It’s a little early to send Christmas cards, but I’m sure that next month, she’ll start collecting them, so you can take your time and write everything that’s in your heart. 2 years ago, Gail had collected messages from fans on a previous forum and had them all printed out for Michael’s birthday and he posted a message that he had read our messages on the plane so have faith! I’m really sorry to hear that it sounds like your husband betrayed you. I can’t imagine how crushing that would be… I really hope you’d be able to get counciling for your family because that can’t be easy on your children either. Well about Michael’s song “Survivor”, my guess is that he wrote it after his breakup with Nicolette Sheridan. It’s really sad because it seems he really tried to make it work this time, but he feltas if he lost his best friend and that’s what hurt him most… Well, my daughter is here for a couple of months until she goes back to Norway, that’s where her boyfriend is from. She’s staying with friends now but it was wonderful having her here for a while. I’m really happy for you that your kids are such a source of pride and the ray of sunshine you need. My youngest is quite a character too so I know what you mean! :D Silvia, if it makes you happy, listen to Michael every day and sing with him: it works for me! If you really want to let Michael know how you feel, you have to believe it will happen. Keep hoping he will come back to Portugal and in the meantime, you can write him a letter. Usually, during November, fans get organized to send Christmas cards to Michael that Gail, our moderator sends to his office. Hi Silvia, how are you? Well, I hope. Don’t ever worry about delays answering messages sweetie, I’m having trouble keeping up myself. Oh I know how you feel with kids: it’s always something! You hear them say: “ Mom, I’m bored, what can I do?” “Mom, can I do this or can I do that?” “Mom, where’s my…?” etc, and it doesn’t stop when they get older! lolI have 2 girls and 2 boys, in that order. Well, good for your eldest son wanting to become a mechanic! My eldest son wanted to learn about woodworking, maybe carpentry, but now he’s not sure any more. I know most of the people who post on a regular basis on the forum. The Beta site, which means the prototype site was up in March 2010 and the full operational site has been up since May 2010, to coincide with the U.S. release of “One world one love”. I’ve been here since about the end of April 2010. You know Silvia, this is the first fan forum I’ve been able to participate in and it’s just pure joy to share the love and feel the love of others: we really are a community and care about each other, I just love it! About the SILYBIL duet, I love Michael’s part the most. He shows that his voice hasn’t lost anything and is just as gorgeous 17 years after he recorded the original. Do I think this works as a duet? Frankly, not for me I’m sorry to say, because this feels like such a personal song, that Michael could only sing it with someone he loves, you know what I mean? As I’ve said before on the forum, I think I would have liked Agnes singing it more, if she did her own solo version because she does have a pretty voice. We had had much cooler days in the past couple of weeks, but had a couple of very hot and sticky ones on the weekend. Good for you spending your weekend at the pool! May I ask how many kids you have? My kids aren’t little any more: they’re 26, 19, 16 and 13. Oh I love SILYBIL too! I think it’s my favorite song Michael wrote,. WIBOMFA makes me cry at times too but I don’t care, I love that song! Well I’m glad you’ve discovered Michael thanks to us! :D It’s really incredible how sometimes, we don’t know how fortunate we are to live in North America, where such fantastic music and singers are a lot more accessible. I’m just so happy we have radio and I’ve been able to follow Michael’s career steadily since the late 80’s. Silvia, so is “Dock of the bay” your favorite song? Mine is “When I’m back on my feet again” that I love more than any other song in the world… I’m very lucky to have had some computer lessons at home but I still need help from my kids too.
