Michael has a milestone birthday coming up in February 2018. I ran an idea past Gail that passed with approval.
I have small cards that are 2.5X3.5. The idea for the card is not to say happy birthday, but you have room to put a few sentences to tell Michael why you love him, his music or how his music helped you in hard times. It’s should be big enough for a wallet size photo if you would like.
Then when he’s home sitting at his desk, he can pull 1 or 2 cards to read when he has the time. Our words will be with him all year.
I request a SASE, and I will send you a card. Write your note and put in your picture. When your finished, mail it back to me.
For those out of the country, I checked with my postmaster and she said you can put your own postage on the return envelope equivalent to $1.15 US.
Email me, Sally, at MYSCRTPSSN@gmail.com and I can give you an address to send your SASE (self addressed stamped envelope).
A second option that isn’t as personal, is to email me a short note and I can cut and paste it onto a card for you. I don’t want to handle pictures this way because I’m not that computer literate and don’t want to make errors with something as personal as a picture.
When all the cards are gathered, I’ll put them in some sort of decorate box. And the box of cards will be Michael’s birthday gift from us.
It might seem early, but it’s something that we can work on Now through January. I’d like to be finished by February since I would need to get a box and mail it off to Michael.
Your welcome to share my email with anyone you think may be interested in contributing to Michael’s milestone 65!
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Sally

Hi Thresa and I have posts to my page "modified" so that not everyone can automatically read messages people send me ... extra bit of privacy that is all !!!
On becoming a friend of Michael's on Facebook you cannot do. Michael's page is a "page" not a "personal page" and therefore you can only "like". He does not have any personal page on Facebook ... sorry !! Only way you can communicate with Michael is on Twitter and his Twitter handle is @mbsings He does sometimes come on there and answer tweets but all the time and not all tweets sent to him but he is pretty good at answering considering how busy he is. Hope that info helps.
Hi Thresa, how are you? Good to hear from you. :D Well as I’ve said in my previous comment, I must have said that metaphorically. The last 2 tours Michael did in the U.K. area, Sylvia went to almost every Michael concert there was, compensating for the fact that she had missed out for too many years. I didn’t mean she was bunking with the band or performing! lol Don’t worry about the confusion sweetie. I’m sorry if you’re feeling stressed and I do hope you find constructive ways to deal with it. Thresa, I’ve been on this site for almost 7 years now, so it’s a bit hard to remember everything I’ve posted, you understand. :D Take good care Thresa and have a great week. Big hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie :D
Hi Thresa, uhm, lol I don’t know where I would have posted that Sylvia was touring with Michael... :D Well, last year, she did go to several of Michael’s concerts in the U.K., if that’s what you’re refering to. Take care Thresa and have a great day. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie :D
Hi Thresa, well first, it sounds like your December surgery, whatever it was for, was successful, so that’s good to hear! :D I sympathize with trying to keep up with your baby... ;D Sorry to hear your pets are so much work, but at least they’re company. :D Thresa, it’s my pleasure sharing Michael and since you’re missing him, here comes one more song:
This is Michael’s new version of “When a man loves a woman”, off his next CD “Songs of cinema”. You can buy it off Itunes or PledgeMusic. Gail told us that if we pre-ordered the CD from PledgeMusic, they’ll ship it ahead of time so we have it in our hands on February 10! :D Enjoy Thresa and have a great weekend. Big hugs, sincerely, Sylvie :D
Hi Thresa, you’re too kind but yes of course, I remember you. :D After I had posted a couple of links on your page and you didn’t reply, I figured you needed time. I’ve learned myself that grief has no time-frame. To answer your question, I’ve been on the michaelbolton.com site since the beginning in 2010. I took advantage of the fact that it was a Beta site at the time and really took the time to click on links, press buttons etc. I’m a very perseverant person. Oh, I wouldn’t say my tech skills are impeccable, but they're enough for this site, thank God. Sometimes I need help from my son, but mostly because my browser is out of date. Thanks for your kind words Thresa, I appreciate them. :D BTW, I’m on EST, but the time displayed on this site is GMT for some reason. Michael’s previous site used to be on GMT, maybe it has something to do with it. Well anyway, I have to go sweetie, but it was great hearing from you. I hope you’re well on your way to healing 2016 and I wish you a Michael concert to help! :D Take care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
And that song Time Love And tenderness has always been dear to my heart.. will listen to it too!! When I'm back on my feet again has helped tremendously !!!
Sincerely yours always
Thresa
Hi Thresa, I'm not sure if you've heard this song, but this is one I think Michael recorded around the time he was to release his "Ain't no mountain high enough" CD.
Michael Bolton & Michael Lington off “Pure” “Shotgun”
Hi Thresa, first of all, I’m really sorry to hear about your dad: my sincere condolences sweetie. I lost my dad before I was a teenager and my mom when I was barely an adult, so it’s hard to imagine dealing with it now. All I can say is that after the initial shock, I hope you can focus on cherishing all the good memories and the time you had with him, sharing his life. Just remember Thresa,: grief is a process. Your heart has been wounded and you need time to heal. Feed it with love and good memories and most importantly: Time, Love and Tenderness. :D So you need more Michael songs? Coming up!
Well I hope this helps you until my next message sweetie. :D Now just in case this isn’t enough, I’ve made myself a list of favorite videos in the “videos” section of this site and here’s the link to it:
Now remember it’s okay to cry sweetie, but I’m sure your dad taught you to be strong and that’s one part of him that will always be with you. Take good care Thresa. Big warm bear hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie <3
Hi Thresa, yes sweetie, I did get your PM and yes, abreviations come through, thanks for asking. :D I'm sorry I don't always reply immediately. Since the forum has been so quiet, I've been working hard on my pile of PMs from my friends and I'm up to April in replies... XD I know it's pretty bad, but sometimes, I get long-winded and I try to reply properly to all my friends, when I'm not helping my family out with internet research etc. I also don't spend as much time on the computer as I used to, in order to add some living in my life. :D Please know that I'm not forgetting about you and I'm doing my best sweetie. Thank you for sharing Thresa and hope to talk again soon. Big hugs, sincerely, your friend Sylvie :D
Hi Thresa, well I’m on EST sweetie. When you check the time your comment is posted on someone’s profile, for some reason, it’s posted on GMT. That might have to do with the fact that the previous MB site was a U.K. site. You’re so very welcome sweetie: I love this site and the people so much, I don’t even feel the need to be on Facebook. I’m sorry to hear you felt alone, do you mean as a Michael fan? It boggles the mind to me how the entire world isn’t a Michael fan... :D Michael’s songs are wonderful lyrically and musically, but only he can make them magic with his sensibility... Did you get Michael’s book Thresa? I think I listened to the audio book 4 times already. It’s just so rare, especially for a man of his generation to be so in touch with his feelings and communicate them so eloquently, God bless him. Thresa, I’ve learned that God has a plan and if you do everything you can, you’ll meet Michael in due time and you’ll be ready for it, so don't despair. :D It's always nice to hear from you Thresa, take good care. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc canada :D
Hi Thresa, nice to read you post more sweetie. :D Thanks for your messages. Yes I did gain a grandson last year, but sadly, don't have many pictures, waiting for my daughter to send them. My grandkids are the light of my life! BTW, I hope you've had a very happy mother's day! :D Take good care Thresa and hope to read you more on the forum. If you need help, you know where I am. Hugs, sincerely, Sylvie Qc Canada :D
