"If I Could"
"If I Could" ..... it all starts here doesn't it? You're granddaughter is BEAUTIFUL ... and all of that hair! My first granddaughter just turned 1 years old on October 13th and I just adore her. I was officially named "Grammy" because I have always loved music.
To be honest, the first time I heard the song "If I Could" was on a Barbra Streisand CD and it so touched my heart because you wish you could "shield their innocence from time" and protect them from any pain and to cry their tears and you certainly would.....if you could. The picture of you with your granddaughter just looks as though you are simply enjoying the beautiful innocence of this new baby girl. My children lost their father in 1991 when they were 7 and 11 years old and he was such a wonderful man and I wish with all of my heart that I could have spared them that pain and even as they've grown into adults now, I still feel so protective and there isn't anything that I wouldn't do for them. Congratulations Michael, I hope you enjoy being a "Grandpa" .
